It is racism. I look at it like whenever the superior races feels threatened then they feel the need to make changes. A lot of immigrants come to America to start a better life. The superior race can not except other races working hard, getting a good education and a good job because they become threatened. Whenever a minority succeeds they don't like it so immigration is a way to stop it. A lot of European Americans think that this is their country and nobody else's which is retarded because they weren't the first settlers in America. It's a long story. All races that are not white are seen as criminals... or lazy (anything that is not good). This is they way a lot of people think. I will get a lot of bad responses but this is the truth and the truth hurts.
Well, i think there should be a limit to the number of immigrants, like there is now. Do you have any idea what would happen if we opened our borders to EVERYONE? Use your imagination.

I think that the illegals coming here are nothing more than a huge slap in the face for people who came here legally and went through the trouble of actually becoming US citizens. They broke the law to get here, therefore they ARE criminals and should be treated as such.
Think it's racism if you want, but I could care less what country they came from. Criminals are criminals, lock them up or send them home.

I think that if you really wanted to know why we are against illegal immigration, you would just ask instead of giving the rest of your speech about how it clearly must be racism.
What do you say about overcrowded schools on year round schedules taught by emergency credentialed teachers with programs for the children of American citizens cut to fund ESL programs and 'intervention' programs for children of those illegally here? Look at LAUSD. We have very good reasons for limits, and limits means the answer may well be 'no'.
Their children are not more important than our own.

dont forget that many dont have the money, its really hard for people to make money in mexico, especially in little ranches. my dad has been on the waiting list for years now. and hes still not a citizen yet... but i will make him legal i will fight for him with every fiber in my being, i mean my dad is trying real hard to become american, and people say "NO! you cant be american" which is basically what im hearing. but why? why dont they want them to be american? is it because they arent white? and one more thing my dad DOES pay taxes(hes illegal, if you didnt catch on earlier), i noticed it because he gets mail from the irs, and they gave him some cards(two to be precise), and he uses that to pay TAXES. so dont use the they dont pay taxes reason cuz it is possible and not hard for them to pay taxes.

Let's just suppose that it was the US Government that was

The reason people get so nuts about illegal immigrants is because it puts a strain on resources such as schooling and healthcare, and other government programs. These programs are payed for by legal tax paying citizens, and they are meant for use by other legal citizens. If you are illegal, you are not paying taxes, yet, your children are still going to school (for free) the people are still getting health care (for free) see where Im going here? Illegal immigrants may very well be very hard workers. But if they aren't paying any of their income towards taxes, and still using all the "free" services, then it tends to piss people off and add strain to already strained programs. I can see why people would want to come to the US illegally- they get all these great things- and dont have to pay for them. Who wouldn't?
ok - just going to add on here- if illegals pay taxes, what do they put down for their social security numbers when filling out the appropriate forms? hmmmmm, thought so. Since when do illegals have social security numbers? Oh wait, they dont.

If you did and really wanted to find out the true cost of illegal immigration read some more. Many studies have been done that utilize statistics based on the "cost of cheap labor". These studies do not care whether the people are latino, oriental, canadian or anything else. They only look at the facts. Illegals are overwhelmingly low-income, have low education levels and reproduce at a high rate. These are all commonalities of third world and uneducated people. The cost of a public school education AVERAGES over $10,000 per year. Low income and non-english speaking students cost much more. There are very few illegals out there who pay $1000 to their local school district in taxes, so it would take ten of them to pay for one of their children in our schools. And yes they do use our schools by the tens of thousands. And what about the illegals who pay no taxes?
Hospitals in high illegal alien populated locations have been going under at a very high rate because the federal government does not reimburse them.
The heritage foundation studied the newest amnesty proposal currently in our senate and found the retirement costs alone will be about 2.5 trillion dollars (that is $8333 for every man, woman, child and infant LEGALLY in this country). When we add up the millions of family members they will be allowed to bring into this country and it could reach 80-100 million new citizens in a few decades. Then that 2.5 trillion will seem very cheap indeed.
By the way about 25% of the federal prison system are illegals yet illegals only make up about 4-6% of the population. So they are obviously not just here to work, unless you call rape, murder, manslaughter, etc. work.

Doesn't being an 'illegal immigrant' show your lack of respect for the US and its laws from the start? Don't tell me illegals don't flood our health care systems- I work in it and see it almost everyday. It takes 'months' to apply to come here? So what- we should just nod our heads and say yes c'mon in? My husband's family immigrated to the US from eastern Europe 20+ years ago, legally, and it took them YEARS to save up the $ to do so, get the paperwork all in order- but they did it, because they don't believe in expecting something for free or without effort. Maybe if we cleared out the illegal immigrants, there'd be more room to approve more LEGAL ones. If the illegals want people to accept them, perhaps they should start paying taxes, learning English! Time to close up the boarders to the illegals and ship the ones here HOME. LEGALS WELCOME.

I'm a immigrant and my status is legal. A illegal alien is considered as a felon. Illegal immigration is tearing America apart. They are breaking our laws, and they dont pay taxes, if they do who's #SS? And they demand equal rights!? The numbers are straining our health care system, education, crime, and poverty are often adversely affected by illegal immigration. And its not racist if they get denied, my parents were denied two times from polish immigration. I have no problem with immigrants, but if you are one please be legal, they use our resources. I'm ready to fight as a legal immigrant for my rights and help American citizents to improve their rights.
