Multicultral Britain?
I can understand that times are changing and the modern world is not a static place but what actual benefits are there from putting different cultures on par or above your own??
Surely being the host country - British culture and customs should be first and foremost?

I only know that I do not like it. What kind of madness allowed it to happen I don't know, but what is astounding is that we are still importing the problem.
This has to stop and by fair means or foul. The end will justify the means.

but seriously, but you've got a point. preserving the host country's culture, trying to assimilate, honouring its values should be a common bond to strangthen the country, not trying to create an autonomous little group that teaches hate and radical extremist ideology.

Sadly, Britain has been bullied into dropping our customs and values at the expense of others. It has become so policitically incorrect to even bring this topic up for discussion for fear of being accused of being racist - we have all been harrassed into a quiet acceptance of the situation. It is not a celebration of different cultures as we are led to believe - as apparantely, we can no longer celebrate our own. How did this happen. Can you imagine the history books in 100 years time ........ Once, Britain was a Christian country, on the 25th December, they used to celebrate Christmas before it was banned..............

Just like who benefits from war, it's got to be the rich as usual. They talk about patriotism but are only for themselves.
Most of the so called multiculturalism that is happening here today, is not of the healthy kind, as we don't have proper integration. It also seems that a lot of immigrants do not like us, even though we are good enough to open our doors and shelter them, from whatever adversity they are running from. In order that we should be in a healthy position to help people in the future, we need to look after ourselves first, and that means getting our Identity back and redressing the balance. Only when we can proudly hold up our own flag, and be confident in our own culture, will we be in any position to aid others

What has multi-culturalism actually given Britain?
My answer is NOTHING.
It has removed Britain. I do not recognise my country as being English anymore. I walk to the shops and hear foreign accents and foreign languages.
I hate it actually. I do not hate people of different race or culture, but I hate that they have replaced my race and my culture in my Country.
By all means come to our Country and live amongst us, but do so as English people and adopt and abide by our culture.
Well the Indians gave us bathing for a start. Before the British Empire conquered India people here bathed around once or twice a month at most.
I love all the different foods, music styles, clothes and artworks from other cultures. Indian meals are very tasty, Caribbean music is so full of life and Islamic art has a geometric subtlety that is hard to find elsewhere.
I think that by embracing multiculturalism we can see what is different and special about our own culture, indeed more so because of the contrasts. I am a huge fan of folk music, Yorkshire puddings, and real ales - all really British things. I think that I would not appreciate these facets of my life half as much if they did not seem special to my culture.
The main benefit of embracing new cultures is to learn and enjoy new things.
Bad Idea ,multiculturalism.
If people want to come and live in our country they should at least respect our culture and at the very least learn to speak our language .
No sooner do our police arrest an Asian than there is a protest from the rest about discrimination .
We allow Muslims into the country when we know that part of their religion says "" kill the infidel "" and we are the infidel .
It is fact that an Englishman (( a white Anglo Saxon )) is becoming a member of a racial minority in his own country .
If you speak to an Asian or any kind of a coloured person with less than perfect politeness you are liable to be charged with some crime but the same protection doesn't go the other way .

A very large headache, areas of the country where people feel the police are the method of implementing oppression. A cuckoo in the nest bred in captivity is still a cuckoo.
The political elite and the PC brigade that created this nightmare don't have to live with the consequences. Ironically it came about because we failed to face up to discrimination properly and multi cultural ism (you do what you want, your way) is the sorry excuse used instead of tackling the root cause.

1. Drug-dealers.
2. Overpopulated prisons.
3. Dole scroungers.
4. Streets that are dangerous to walk at night.

i had to fill in a form for my little boys school today, he's only just started, it asked me for his ethnic group, i know this sounds daft but i was stumped for a sec, i mean what has that got to do with a 4 yr olds nursery school? surely having to answer these silly questions is highlighting differences? accepting each other would be alot easier if we didn't have our differences rammed down our throats from birth. what would it matter if he was jewish, muslim, asian,croation or whtever else, more to the point why would i be sending him to a C of E school? i mean how mad is it that i actaually hesitated because i was'nt sure if i should be putting "white,english"!? even tho he very obviously is!! ( he is ginger!)

Multiculturalism has pushed me to the far right, I never used to be, but by god I am now, I have been a victim of crime several times, but never by a white British person, always an outsider, and that is what they are "outsider's", some pr!ck tried to mug me two weeks ago, he couldn't speak a word of English, whats that all about, probably an illegal immigrant, no sorry, multiculturalism is not for me, and anyway WHEN did the government ask us if we wanted to be a multicultural country, bring in the UKIP party.

You are exactly right - our culture and customs of course should come first. But they don't do they...and that is why multiculturalism isn't working.
The prize plum who has posted before me is another reason why it doesn't work - so called immigrants who can't live in their own country of origin but hate the Wonderful West too! Clearly happiness never follows some people to their new countries and don't we just know it!
Nothing we didn't have already, The only other thing was our country was so much better before becoming multicultural
