You can't "convince" illegal immigrants to leave the USA. The best thing to do is to help them become legal citizens. Aliens crossing the border has been going on for decades. It didn't become a social problem until the government needed to take American minds off other things.

Take away the jobs, take away all state aid, no selling or renting of property, NO more Public education for illegal kids. And stop the practice of "Instant Citizenship" Parents should be and need to be Legal. Illegal parents should not be able to come here and have a kid that instantly becomes a citizen .....how does that even make sense??
Take away all the incentives and the illegals will leave..........the ones that try to still hang on should be deported.
The above applies for ALL Illegal Aliens, not just the illegal Mexicans.

I believe in a 2 prong attack.
1) Fine and/or imprison all employers who hire illegals, people who rent illegals housing.
2) Invest in corporations that provide decent jobs in Mexico to Mexican citizens.
Enact laws that remove their jobs, schooling, health-care... make it impossible for them to live here !! Then ENFORCE those laws against the employers, school districts, hospitals and rentors..
Take away all the free entitlements such as child care for people with more kids than they can afford to have.
I agree with what is said. Take away the perks. Stop letting their children go to school free. Stop letting them draw government aid on their children, when they don't pay taxes. Make it illegal to hire them, and illegal to give them a drivers license. Dump more money into INS to deport those committing crimes.
Or just annex Mexico. You know, whatever works.
Its all related to big business. They get rich, and we get over run by those who cant even speak our language. Bottom line is that its easier to piggy back on our system than to try and fix theirs.

FREEDOM. Do you think they are here just to make you angry? NO. They have only two choices in there lives. Sit and watch their families die of HUNGER and ILLNESS or cross a river. What would you do? Would YOU sit there and watch your loved ones die or would YOU cross a river? Do you think these people are here because they like you to spit on them and call them "Wetbacks" NO! They are here because in their country they do not have the same rights as Americans. If they can find a job it is usually back breaking physical labor where they only make $3, yes $3, American dollars for a full days work. The cost of living in Mexico is the same as it is here. Could you feed, cloth, and house yourself on $3 a day? I Think not! Now try doing all that with a family. Tell me, what is it exactly they are taking from you? Does it harm you to educate them? No, it helps you. The better educated they are the better their lives in Mexico are. I hate to inform you of this, Illegal Immagrants CAN NOT recieve Food stamps or Medicaid. So how are they getting stuff for free? They pay rent, water, lights. They buy food and clothes. All that is taxed? OH gee, free money for the government. Most of them that work in factories don't try to get the taxes taken out of their checks back at the end of the year, OH GEE more free money for our government............
Go live there and that will answer your question. And by living over there doesn't mean go to cancun or cabo san lucas, go to the rural areas and see how people live and all the stuff that they have to go through.
