It depends upon the context, of course. I can only presume that they must mean the "shared American experience," which ended right at the time of the Civil War (pretty darn early in our development as a country). Up until then we fundamentally had a shared heritage of background, ideals of rebellion against the UK, a sense of unity as new colonies becoming a country, a sense of self-defense, a belief in individualism, and a sense of exploration. After that everything seems to have fragmented and states became vast and many of the other things you mention soon arose. But it doesn't really sound like you're asking a question, just trying to make a point.

It could be our melting pot culture. Otherwise they could be talking about how lazy the American people are? It's sad I talk bad about my own people but it's the truth--we're lazy. At the same time I think it would be what I said above--a melting pot culture. Basically a mixture and hodge podge of many cultures that makes the country great. But, I could be wrong--I'm not a social scientist :).
Speaking English, learning about the history of our great country, Democracy, capitalism, the Judeo-Christian religion, getting a good education so that you can improve your lot in life. Equality of opportunity which does not exist in many of the countries south of our border.

When you talk about American Culture, you are talking about the culture of being "Free"...at least that was before Bush got into office and successfully stated that the USA no longer had habius corpus any longer.
EDIT: Notgh...the USA was never founded on religion...do you see ANY comment about religion OR god in the Bill of Rights, Constitution, or the Declaration of Independence? No, you don't and it is for good reasons that you don't.
Our culture is made up of many different cultures, do you define your culture by a few snack food items that you can not even spell correct? I hope not.
Our culture is the American dream where a geek can change the world and bring us all together (Bill Gates). Our culture is sports, picnics in the park, church on Sunday, family reunions, state fairs, pride in the countries our ancestors originated from without ever forgetting we are American. The freedom to speak no matter how ignorant your current view is... Some may forget these things because they are from large cities but trust me these things are still prevalent in the rest of the US. Our culture is rich and varied and speaks for itself - if it were so awful here we would not have people climbing over walls, swimming through rivers, and sailing the ocean on a door or other unsafe water craft, risking life and limb to get here.

American culture is a mix of latin, anglo, german culture "Only 10% are full blooded Anglo?" Hey Diego, whilst i'm no fans of Americans, I got to say the Spanish were even worse when it came to annhilation of Native American cultures, but to agree with you on an another point, they don't have 1 specific culture to identify them, not like other older nations I guess.
