i am a convert and grew up here with irish parents. i used to once be the young lady drunk off her face falling out of the nightclub, so live and let live is my philosopy.
no i didnt convert becoz i married a muslim, but alot of women do. i was at uni at the time i converted and actually found out about islam on the internet by accident while researching for an assignment!

i don't understand why they would move to a country and not be willing to obey the laws of that land. you'd think taht's the least they can do, seeing as they're asking leave to remain in that country.

Some of the Sharia laws conflict with most western countries and so those particular laws would not be allowed.

The Australian Prime Minister John Howard had a similar question in Australia to this one. His reply said it all. He told the Muslim communities, that this country has one law. It is our law, and if you don't abide by it, you can leave our country now. If only we had politicians like that here!!
We have our own law that suffices all our needs.
we do not need any foreign law, what if we end up with every little bunch of immigrants demanding their own law? what a mess that would be.
I don't understand this. they say they hate us westerners so much, and yet, they keep migrating to our countries. you'd think it would be easier for the entire global community. if they stayed in their countries, unless they' re willing to abide by western law and embrace western culture..
My thoughts exactly friend! The answer to your question is unfortunately the lack of state handouts and priviledges they wouldn't receive in some other place.

We have our own laws and anyone who wishes to live in the UK should abide by them.
It doesn't matter to me what faith, ethnic origin, gender preference,
they are, but it does matter that if they wish to partake of all the\
amenities my country has to offer then they should live by the
laws of my country.....
If they wish to practice their own laws then I recommend they
remain where they are and be more comfortable with their
surroundingsl.

I think we need to borrow some Australian politicians, they know how to get things sorted, unlike the bunch of winkers we have, we need to get UKIP in power.
The problem is that we now have a second generation of them in this country who think they belong here because they were born here.
However their refusal to integrate (and I don't want to integrate with them) makes it clear that they do not belong here.
The question I have is why on earth are they still allowed to come here when there is clearly no demand for their 'skills' and they are so unpopular amongst the majority of British people?
I agree with the earlier comment - the Aussie's have exactly the right idea! Want Sharia Law - one way ticket to Saudi Arabia or Iran can be provided.
