Initial Interview for Green Card married for 4.5 yrs now. Will it be final. can we bring laptop to show pics.?
I already have my EAD. I hope to get the stamp on the day of the interview.
Please tell me if I can take my laptop. I don't print many pics.
Marriage is very legit but my wife is very lazy about finances, I handle all of it she does not cares to know anything as she trusts me, so should I prepare her on that. We have never lived in a separte roof since we got married. It say If I did not submit my affidavit I need to bring that again along with tax returns and all that.
Answer:
if you are married for over 4.5 years at time of interview, you will not get a conditional green card, you will receive a Permenant 10 year card. As for the pics, just transfer them to a cd and have them made at walgreens or some photo shop.
EDIT- I would bring all paperwork and documents with you to the interview...there have been times they will lose or misplace paperwork...so having it will definately help. I wish you good luck, but I dont think you will have a problem. :)
I dont see the need for pics.. isnt the marraige certificate enough?!
check out this site, they give you a sony vaio laptop FOR FREE!! i got mine last week and it's smokin'!
1. marriage length
OK 4.5 years is good, and when approved you'll get 10 yr G.C. Also staying at the same residence is a plus.
2.Finances
Because you have an EAD, your income may be considered jointly, and as long as you meet requirements you are good. Forget about the credit thing, they don't check that, but be sure you bring all supporting docs for finances, bank statements, w2(s), Tax returns, etc. This part is important.
Your affidavit should be with the last years income.
[ ...It say If I did not submit my affidavit I need to bring that again along with tax returns and all that...] - yes if you did NOT submit one take it with you. VERY IMPORTANT!
3.What else?
-Photos are also helpful in establishing history and see if it's a legit marriage, so bring some - burn em on a disk and go to cvs walmart or something.
-Look at your letter and go through the checklist, BRING EVERYTHING on that list.
-Be confident relax, tell the truth (don't practice), don't volunteer unnecessary info, dont submit fake docs ...
