not all people hate america as a whole. maybe they just hate the u.s. coz of some things. or it could be that their governemnt keeps on saying that america is bad, america wants to dominate the world...
I recommend not caring about what others think. It makes them even more angry when you don't care why they hate you. It's funny.

Many people around the world hate and fear American, especially with the present administration making war in Iraq for no good reason.
The news only shows us as evil. Al Jazeera, a hugley popular middle eastern news station, only shows americans and british as barbarians who invade and destroy. they fail to show us building shcools, hospitols roads and other necessities to have a thriving country. They get more viewers when they show over-sensationalized events depicting US and allied troops as ruthless killers and not as the people they are. Its sad really, thats all the poeple in lots of those countries think about the US because they dont see us for who we really are.
What non-Americans dislike about the US is the way Washington assert their foreign policies which many feel does not subscribe to international law - that's about it.
Seriously doubt you'll get a "thank you" note from any Iraqi even after the last US troop bug out of Baghdad. That's because you have ulterior motives apart from shoving democracy down their throats.
You should not be angry, try understanding.

Different countries hate us for different reasons. Western Europeans don't like the Americans who they actually meet in their own countries. Unfortunately, most nice Americans can't afford to travel the globe, and Americans who CAN afford it are often loud mouths and very rude. In most other areas, it's 50 years of US govt. activities that gets us in trouble. The most recent example being Iran's hatred of us. Why? Because in the late 50's, the CIA replaced the democraticly elected Prime Minister of Iran with Shah Reza Palavi, who was educated here in the US, and gave us lots of money from their oil sales. The Shah oppressed his people for over 20 years until the people finally overthrew him. And of course, they blame us for that. We have most recently installed the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Karzei (not sure of the spelling), who is a former Advisor to Enron. We're usually up to no good with our meddling and it eventually comes back to haunt us.
i use to talk to a person from Saudi Arabia, he said the people there don't like the american govt. i think they are mad at our govt, not the people. just let them be angry, they will eventually get over it. they really dislike bush.
I am currently stationed in Germany right now and can tell you that Germans love us. Sure, you will find some who don't like the government, but you find that everywhere. Ive been all over Europe and found that the Swiss, Italians, Dutch, Czechs and Poles seem to really like American people, but again, some don't like the government. I wouldnt worry about mexicans or Iraqis, we're handling that situation, although i have met many iraqis who love americans, but with them its hard to tell.
Its the age old addage the little man allways resents the big man most nations in this world are jealous of the US and I say "screw em" weather they like us or not is irrelevant to us because we are the US of fing A
look at the US and how developed and rich it is and then look at their country. you will see why they are jealous. hey its not our fault they live in poverty and have an underdeveloped tyrannical country.
Don't worry about it. If somebody doesn't like you thats their problem, don't let them make it yours!!
I look at it like this:
Teenagers hate their parents, they can never do anything right. They talk crap, yell, scream and rebel. But as soon as they need money, they are right up mom and dads butt. Its the same way with these other countries. They resent us. But there is a thin line between love and hate. We are one of those countries that people love to hate, and hate to love. But regardless we are always there when they need us.

It is true that most countries hate Americans. It's because most of you don't think outside your backyard. Most of all the other countries think globally, you guys think what is good for you and to hell with the rest.
I quote you as saying "why is this when all we do is try to help them?"...who are you helping? Immigrants? To open up your eyes, they are after YOUR slice of the pie because you are too lazy to do it yourself. They are blowing you up because they can. The American government has overstepped its boundaries too many times over "American foreign policies". Google that..i'm sure your educated enough to run a search engine. American's piss too many people off and you wonder why groups want to terrorize you not to mention, you people are stupid.
