Mexico is a beautiful...why try to jump the fence to America ?

maybe because the people don't stand for their rights against their corrupt government ?

Answer:
Two factors encourage emigration from Mexico to the United States.

1) The North American Free Trade Agreement is a very unfair agreement that is forcing most of Mexico's small farmers out of business. Agriculture is heavily subsidized in the United States, and Mexican farmers cannot compete. The corruption that you write about was mostly in the past, but its effects are still felt today, as Mexico does not have the infrastructure needed to compete with corporate agriculture in the U.S. and Canada.

2) Mexico has a very high unemployment rate. In part, this reflects displacement of agricultural workers and small farmers, but it also has to do with a poor educational system (another holdover from past, rather than present corruption). Another reason why Mexico has a high unemployment rate is that in the past Mexico had protectionist trade policies, and it never developed modern, competitive industries. It is now easier to import goods than to develop efficient industries. Yet a third reason for high unemployment in Mexico is foreign competition, especially that from China. The Chinese pay such low wages that Mexican workers cannot compete.
becuz were cool like dat ese
Money and opportunities not available in Mexico.
Have you seen the poor parts of Mexico?
well its beautiful if you have money, well they dont in the boarder citys, and if theres chance to start over in US i would jump too. u must whent to tourist city.
Or maybe because the don't have the MEANS to do so...
yep, they should do something with that shitty govt. of theirs, but they don't, they just prefer to risk their lives and come to another country. They should really revolt.
Because it's hard for them to make money to feed their kids and have a good and healthy life, Mexico isnt the healthiest and best place to raise kids.
I look at the Mexicans that come here illegally as cowards because they do not have the balls to fix their own country.
Wading the river is a lot easier than starting a revolution; safer, too.
because of a poor economy that benfits only about 20% of the population while much of the countrie lives in poverty and a corrupt goverment.
Well, Alpha 66, people are leaving Mexico to come to America for the same reason that people leave your country (Cuba) to come to America - there are very few jobs there and wages are low. Unlike Cuba, where you have to cross 90 miles of shark infested open sea, Mexico has a land border with the US, which makes it a little bit easier.
or they need more money and they know if they come over they will get a little bit more
they have more many years and nothing has happends plus mexican people are not about war and violence.. many people are scared if they start a revolt against the gov, fear about something happening to thier families etc.
an empty stomach is good motivator
America has a lot of better opportunities in many ways. it has more jobs, more money, and pretty sights as well. as you said, the government it also an issue.
When are we in the United States going to take a stand for our corrupt government???????? Voting can only do so much, its time.
because the entire nation of Mexico is run on corruption and greed. There is virtually no 'middle class'... soooooo most of the illegals are trying to get a better shot at life here in the US.

Not that I condone them, they should stay put and reform their own country!
Because America is better. I know plenty of attractive people does that automatically make them better?
My dad is from Mexico n he always told us that he heard so many good things about America...."u have so many good opportunities".."u can make so much more money n be able to visit the greater parts MORE OFTEN".... I believe that the reason behind it is this .... because it seems like paradise!
their government sucks basically
Because they don't have the freebies they have here over there.
Alpha 66 - I didn't know that group was even still around. I hadn't heard of it since the 1960's when Armando Fleites Diaz was caught in Cuba and thown in prison. Are you guys still alive and kickin? More power to you!

If you're making less than a dollar per hour in Mexico, minimum wage in the US looks pretty good.
Been to Mexico 15 times - nice places. Wouldn't go near the ordinary(for them). Most are poor. Money talks. Corruption rampant. Stay in the tourist areas, especially at night. Those poor sods would do most anything to have a life like we do(for the most part). By the way - I'm Canadian. Does that make a difference - don't know. Just saying.
They have been trying to and are doing a good job...Mexico's Economy and Gov. has been improving since Ex-president Vicente Fox was elected. People immigrate to the U.S. because there are more economic opportunites. Trust me...if Mexico was well off there, people would not come here....like they say in this country people live to work and in Mexico people work to live. I think any person would rather live in their own country.
LTS... that was a funny intro, ya know? LOL... are you being serious? LMAO... Sreiously? Uhh... I dunno... ROFL... THis was funny to me, actually. ROFLMFAO! I dare you to ask this to the Spanish version of Answers. LOL!

OK, anyway... I think they do it because they don't have the $ or the cards to get to America. LTS...
First of all I am married to a Mexican. He is there waiting on his visa. I went over there to visit him and yes there is alot of nice monuments and stuff however, you must not of seen how they live. Mexico for one is very polluted with smoke and exhaust. It is very poor. I stayed with my husbands neice when i went there and the house was made of concrete and do ya wanna know how they cook, on wood. There was a running toilet because they fixed that up so they wouldnt feel so bad because they knew i was coming to visit. They didnt have a shower and they dont have heat or a/c. I had to but a block of wood in a bucket of water and plug it into the wall so the water would heat up to take a shower. My husband is working very hard there for what? It is basically pointless in my eyes because he is only gonna get about 100.00 a week. When i came back home i realized how grateful i am to be an american and that is why they come here.
Mexico has had a long and bloody history of uprisings and revolts throughout the southern part of the nation, every uprising is meet with tanks and machine guns, the political path is even more dangerous, the only possible path towards a better Mexico is civil war, a bloody violent civil war that should have occurred 10 years ago if it weren’t for Clinton loaning Mexico 22 billion dollars in 1994 when their true economy failed and collapsed, they would have had a civil war, millions of more illegal aliens would have flooded across the southern border in the 90s‘, and the American southwest would have been engulfed as well. But because we choose to hold on to the status quo a little longer the civil war will be even more violent, even genocidal, I predict millions of Mexicans will be killed in this coming civil war. It will end when American peacekeepers enter the country, and the United States annexes the failed nation into the Union. Even then the problem is handed down to a new generation of Americans, a new Mexican Insurgency is almost guaranteed. If amnesty is granted then we won’t see a civil war in Mexico any time soon, it will be in the American southwest first.
Corruption is in all goverments
