At least we are smarter than Canadians. This info does not suprise me. Having 4% of our population that is illegal and contributing to the statistics.
IQ and the Wealth of Nations is a controversial 2002 book, there is a reason it was controversial, it is inaccurate, are you still around trying to disguise your hatred for Hispanics? Take a good look around this category and will you see semi illiterate people everywhere. Don't know the difference between "herd" and "heard" "border" and "boarder"... or even that America should be capitalized. Your complaint is nothing more than racism.
These third world companies have no infrastructure and a culture of stupidity and corruption. So they believe, and many times correctly, that there is no future in education and that they should drop out of school early and start working as children.
This results in an ignorant, criminal and politically brain dead population that's controlled by the rich.
That's why the rich are importing them to the US from Mexico.

I think it is interesting but as always, debateable. IQ's don't measure a lot of things from artistic and musical ability to language skills.
It could be the people you run into. I know various cultural groups around North America who are weak in the things mentioned yet many others with post graduate and university degrees. Also the white southerners have a reputation around the world for being dumber than a sack of hammers yet the voices I hear from space have southern drawls,
Also environment plays a key roll. How well will you do if you had a few years of Spanish language study, English being your native tongue and you have to write an IQ test in Spanish. Will it be as good as your English?
Smarts are measured in different ways. If you and I crash in a small plane in the middle of the Amazon, an indigenous native there would not be able to do math in his head or even a cross word puzzel let alone know a map. On the other hand you and I would not last 3 days with the heat, horrible parasites and many dangers. He would be the one to lead us out alive. Who is smarter therefore?

This is America, it is a land of many cultures.there is no AMERICAN culture except the culture of celebrating our diverstiy....and while English is the national language (not the Official language), there are 341 languages spoken in the U.S. 142 are native Indian languages, sign and verbal. Of the remaining...only 80% have English as the native language. Of the remaining, 10% speak Spanish...next comes Cantonese followed by French and German.
People who think they are far superior to other cultures show their ignorance. Your degree may have made you "book smart" but taught you nothing about life..and nothing about America.

Don't you think you need to set some requirements before you hire people who can't read or do math? Are you setting up to make fun of them.
Maybe, try hiring the right people for the job.
I think that an IQ test costs money, with scoring by a reputable psychologist, and that most people even in the US don't have IQ tests unless they are deemed 'at risk' or likely to be gifted (where schools have gifted programs.) I doubt the underlying data.
I also shudder to think the US IQ is 98.
