Battered wife while in a process of green card. What should I do? Does this affect my Green Card Processing?
Answer:
The USCIS views spousal abuse very seriously and there are rules in place to allow you to leave the marriage and still get your Green Card. Please look at the link below. There seem to be a few useful resources there.
I wish you the strength to regain control of your life.
CALL THE POLICE WHEN HE HITS YOU. You should still be able to get a green card---do not support and cover up for someone that is using you for a punching bag---EVER.
If you're putting up with this abuse just to get into the States, that's sad. No man has the right to hit a woman but you need to find a better man. You may not live to see that Green Card.
YOU ARE IN AMERICA- NOT MEXICO SO THE POLICE WILL CARE ABOUT THIS. DON'T GET HIM THE GREEN CARD IF HE CAN NOT RESPECT YOU. DON'T SUPPORT HIM. GET THE HELL OUT AND CALL THE COPS. NO MAN SHOULD EVER HIT A WOMAN.
go back where you came from where it doesn't cost so much to live.....
