What forms of ID can you use to travel within the US if you are an immigrant?
Answer:
To travel within the US, you can travel on your drivers license but it is now recommended that you take your passport and/or green card. It is also recommended that you make photocopies of your immigration documents because there is a greater chance of theft of said documents and the inherent difficulty in replacing them.
yea! as long as it has been signed ...and that is not expired...or that the date when you where supposed to go back is not expired
Yes, the passport would have to be up to date and signed.
You must carry a proof of your identity, such as, driver's license, state ID, voter ID and list goes on and on. You must also carry a proof of your immigration status in the United States, such as permanent resident card (Green Card), Employment Authorization (Work Permit). If you don't have a Green Card or Work Permit then a foreign passport with the Immigration Service Stamp (I-551 stamp) is required. Immigration Service considers green card or work permit as a proof a immigration status as well as proof of identity. Good luck traveling.
if you are here already you are free to travel unless you are a special registration immigrant from one of the middle eastern nations post 911.
