Deduct Rent when on a H1-B visa?

I am on a H1-B visa in the US. My organization is originally based abroad but they pay me through a subsidiary in the US. I have been in the US for more than 183 days. Since i am originally based out of the country - can i deduct my rent in the US as a business expense?

Answer:
No you cannot. For tax purposes H1-B holders are treated the same as US citizens and permanent residents. Personal expenses, including rent, are not deductible.
I found this site very useful.
