The members of the House are elected every 2 years. They face campaigns in 2008.
They are our best hope in killing this shamnesty deal.
Don't stop putting pressure on the Senate, but if you haven't started contacting the House, it is definitely time to declare our views to them.

We should give up on immigration reform. Anyone who wants to come here should be allowed. If the break the law, like our own citizens, they should go to jail. In jail they should be the slaves of the 21st century and do all the work that the rest of us don't want to do until they are ready for society again.

Making it possible for people to come here legally would also reduce illegal immigration. The way the system is set up you have to be rich or very very lucky to get citizenship in america.
When you take every legal route away what can you expect? sure they come illegally its the only way they can come.
It is a step in the right direction for sure. I'm more concerned with the fact that the money for the fence was approved but Washington is dragging their feet paying it to contractors.
Until we get the borders secured (North and South) we can't rely on Washington for jack crap.

Negative! the Immigration Reform of 2005 should still stand our borders need to be protected, we again have too many people already in the USA. Perhaps a permission, to work in our country but no amesty . Now it is not only because of neighbors, but because we need to be safe, and let the the 9-11 thing be a lesson, of our country being to lay back, and feeling sorry for those that are from third world countries.
