Their (Mexicans) only choice is to fix their own country. If all the Mexicans who chickened out and came to the US simply went to Mexico City and sat in the streets, the situation in Mexico would change. Think about it - if they have a corrupt political system, THEY have to fix it.

For the same reason people ran to America intitially from Eurorpe. They feared the pope, Inquisition, despotic Kings, queens and emperors and instead of having the guts to stay, fight and revolutionize they ran here... lol, these are our forefathers.

Does anybody remember the 1968 Olympics massacre that occurred in Mexico? I wasn't born yet but my father told me about it. The protesters were chanting "we don't want Olympics, we want a revolution" and they got killed for that by the Mexican Army. It is not as easy as many of you make it seem, but I think it can be done.
Because Mexico is not the USA...we are quite nice compared to them. If people decided to protest or even think war, they'd get squashed like a bug in Mexico.and since Mexicans have strict gun control laws, only the rich and connected have guns...

I too think they have to start doing something.There are enough folks there to start protesting and demanding changes. As it is, Mexico will not change until the people pressure them to.
Maybe they love their Mexican culture but the government is too corrupt for any change to occur. . . . . ? ever thought of that?? And it's not like they are American, (remember, they are illegal). First you need to be a part of this country for a long time, and assimilate (which doesn't happen in a day, nor learning English).
Not all countries are like the US, where you are free do go out and protest everyday against the government's actions. And it wouldn't be easy.
And who says you have to go back if you love your culture? Mexicans can love it in another country, the US allows it, it's a free country.
