Hi everyone, I am getting married soon and I need to know where do I go and what do I need to change my last name to my future husbands last name on all my legal documents speacially my passport. I just became a US Citizen so I dont have a US birth certificate just the Citizenship certificate that they gave me. Also if you know what i need to do to change my last name on my ID, Social Security Card ect. Please answer my question Thanks.....

You just need your marriage license to change your name on your ID & social security card. Take your marriage license and old ID to the DMV and your social security card (ID card) and marriage license to the Social Security office. They will give you your new ID right away, but your s.s. card will get mailed to you in about 5-10 days. Good luck and congratulations!
when you get married, take your marriage certificate ( copy of it) with you to The DMV where you got your California ID and they will change it for you. Take copy of your marriage certificate to dept of social security with your ss card and ask to change your name. the same goes with pass port agency or just wait until your passport expires and then when you renew it you will provide your marriage certificate when re applying, I hope I have answered all your questions.
