Is it possible to move to the States from Canada if you have a Criminal Record?

We have the opprotinity to buy a bussiness in Hawaii, but my dad had a criminal record. It isn't a really bad one just for getting into a fight. He got a pardon, but will it work if we are planning to move?

The record dosen't stop him from traveling, but i know thats a lot different than moving.

Thank you.

Answer:
It will not be a problem. Ease your worried mind. If your Father is worried tell him to stop. He has paid his debt to society. Move on.
if he has a pardon, then no problem for that.
since he has a pardon it should have no effect on this going from Canada to the States
Probably not unless it was a fight with guns and knives or something.
