My girlfriend from Thailand is coming to the UK later in the year for 4 months before we both move to Korea. She already has a UK visa.
While she is here, I want to take her on some weekends away to places in Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, Bologna, Barcelona etc) so she will need a Schengen visa. Which country do I need to apply to for the visa ? And if for example, I apply for a French visa, will we always have to go to our final destination via France, or will another country accept a French Schengen visa ?
Answer:
Go to the embassy of any Shengen state, and the visa they give her will be valid for entry into any of the member countries.
With a Schengen visa you are free to go anywhere in the EU, just don't overstay the limit, otherwise you'll battle getting one the next time.
