Answer:
Contact the Hall of Records or County Recorder's office in the county you were born in.
Good luck, and thanks for the 10 points!
Follow this link:

You go to the hall of birth records at the courthouse and show identification and pay for it.
It's not the hospital, it's the county clerk's office in the county in which you were born. I'll tak 5 points.
if you were born in the USA or a protectorate, call the county registrar of the county you were born in. Tell them you need a copy of your birth certificate, if it needs to be registered or certified, they will definitely charge you for it. In fact they will definitely charge whatever copy they send you
First of all...what does this have to do with Immigration?
Second, call the county courthouse or vital records department of your county or city.
You can get it online from anywhere in the world use the link. It cost a bit more then going to the State you were born in; but you can get it by snail mail in 7 days. Good Luck!
BTW: You just need to know your moms maiden name, county your were born in and State.
Contact the Registrar of Vital Statistics for the State in which you were born. Their office is normally located in the city that is the state capital. Birth Certificates are public records and anybody can get a copy by providing the name, place and date of birth.
You request it from the office of vital statistics in the County you were born. Make sure to get a certified copy.
You don't call the hospital at all. Call the county vital statistics office in the state and county you were born or go to www.usa.gov and scroll down and on the right choose 'state government', then choose the state you need and follow from there and the type in 'vital statistics' in the search and follow from there. It should cost anywhere from $10-$20 for an official copy.
Call or write the Hall of records where you were born. My son has to do this too.10 years ago he was applying for a passport,he gave his original bith certificate and his fees to the rep. at the US post office in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Of course they lost it! I wonder what illegal is trying to pass himself off as a 6ft.3in. red head!!Some one must of passed on is certificate..
