I share my house with asylum-seekers who have been made homeless by the government. Mostly they are very polite and respectful, and only want to restart their lives as good citizens. Unfortunately, they often feel very unwelcome in this country, which makes it hard for them to integrate.
Most people I think can accept people from other countries as long as they support themselves and make no problems. But they get a false idea about asylum-seekers in the papers.
genuine asylum seekers are and should be made welcome, the problem being to many, who are not genuine and abusing the system for their own gain. Why are people making there way to the UK through Europe?if they where fearing for their safety in their homeland. All European country's are deemed safe, and will provide asylum.
why should i accept living with them, surely it more that they should accept living with me ? after all its my country and they wanted to come here, did i invite them ? Maybe this is what is wrong with this country, people like you who think we should change to suit them !

Genuine assylum seekers would initially go to the nearest country of refuge and if that country was overflowing with people seeking refuge then the international comunity would be there to take in and place them in diferent countries round the world for their safety.What makes me think that the vast majority of the people here are not genuine is the fact that they have travelled in some cases across 2 or 3 continents and many SAFE countries to get to Britain and in some cases at great risk to their lives.The other point re assyllum seekers is that once the catastrophy whatever it may be has subsided in their country of origine then they should repatriate to that country but how many have and as one reader said they should be prepared to accept that they are temporary guests in a foreign country but many want the UK to change their way of life to suit their customs and beliefs
Yes i am happy with them; when the British took to foots and into America, the Americans let them stay, today they are proud to call themselves Yankees, they have no wish to remind them of their British origin! how about that

I know hundreds of asylum seekers and refugees through my work and I would like to bet my pension that 90% are far better people than you, you complete freak.
my next door neighbours are refugees and they are great really nice and polite and genuine not coming over here just cos they can so yeah i accept them and as long as they dont hurt me or mine im happy maybe people who are born here should take a leaf out of their book
I feel fine about asylum seekers been in this country. They come over because of the dangers in there country . Most of them want to work and pay there way but a lot of them get stopped doing that through immigration. lots of people call them because they see them getting houses most of them get put in flats may be 6 or more of them sharing at a time the places were they are put is disgustig .I have seen a lot of these places you and i would not like to live.They get £35 in vouchers some electric and gas payed for which is not much. These people would like to work but like i said ealier they can not do so. We have plenty people british who do not work and get money of our benfit system im not talking about the genuine people who cant work. And alot of people might not no this but when the gouverment want to get there numbers down they stop there vouchers get them to leave the house and they are put out on the streets untill one of there friends take them in and there have to live on there friends vouchers. And i do no this happens ive seen it happen. I do think that some people really dont no whats going on and they belive what is said in the papers or tv .I think people should stop and think before they speak and get some of there facts right it is not all good and plain sailing when they come over here.And every asylum seeker is not just after a english woman for a passport every one should not be tared with the same brush .
No we want them all to **** off home , any asylum seeker who has been through a safe country before they get to the UK should be immediately deported .

I've found that most so called Asylum Seekers have no interest in the country or culture they migrate to and are here for purely economic reasons.I wonder how many of them would be happy to see hundreds of thousands of us flooding into their country and expecting them to kow tow to our culture?There's even a Polish language newspaper been set up in the Highlands,are they taking the piss,or what?
