My friend is a illegal alien, hair salon owner.?
Answer:
I think that this is a bogus question. If she was making $100,000 a year...you wouldn't be on here asking what she should do...she woudl already have a lawyer.
Rich people do not have a hard time becoming legal. It's a fact...our government can and is bought!
Someone would have to petition her. It doesn't sound like she has any other option.
She'll prob. need to get a lawer. My mom is having a hard time getting her green card and she had children born here. Since 9/11 its much harder.
ASK HER IF SHE IS YOUR FRIEND
If she is making over 100,000 a year surely she can afford a lawyer to handel the case.
She needs to see an attorney who specializes in Immigration. Good luck to her.
She's a stinking criminal. Do the right thing and report her to the authorities. That is unless you don't give a rat's you-know-what about the law, your country and your fellow Americans.
Call the Immigration department and tell them the whole story and where her shop is I'm sure they'll just run one right on over to her. Tell me if a guy makes around $100,000 a year and oh I don't know goes on vacation and say robs a bank,it's okay because he has a social security and has lived her all his life right? I mean he's not breaking the law or anything is he? How will we keep him out of prison and able to stay free?
It depends. What is her name and where does she live?
There are visas for business owners and investors. That is one reason a lot of small businesses are owned by aliens.
If she has been here for 18 years (came after the last amnesty!) and has not gotten legal, there is a reason.
Most likely a crime.
Here the right answer for u !
No way she could be legal since her visa has expired. Once ur visa expires, the only way to get another one is to apply again, but it has to be done in the country of origin ,at the US Embassy.
She can't apply here in the States(it is the law). Chances are she will not be approved cuz she has a bad history of breaking the INS law when she overstayed her visa.
Sorry to break for u the bad news, but it's the truth.
No matter how rich she is, still would not make a difference to the immigration even if she hires expensive Lawyers.
