Is it easy or difficult for a US citizen to immigrate to Canada?
Answer:
I checked on moving to Canada and was told that I had to live there 3 years before I was eligible to apply for citizenship.. After my citizenship was approved, I would be eligible for their free healthcare and other benefits... If u can live for 3 years without any help I would contact the Canadian immigration center.. I keyed in "how can I become a citizen of Canada" and got the website.. GL
Why do you want to go to Canada? Is that your dog? Can I give it a kiss. I love dogs.
Depends on where you're moving to. It'll be extremely difficult if you move to Toronto since it's such a huge city with limited jobs. People here are rude and ignorant too; so stay away from Toronto.
If you move up to Alberta, however, I believe it's much easier because that entire province is DESPERATE for people to work because of the recent oil sands boom. I saw on a news documentary a month ago that people in the food industry are getting signing bonuses of at least a hundred dollars. They have a minimum wage, but no sane business will pay their employees that when waiters and even fast-food employees are getting paid $8-9/hour. Imagine that, McDonalds employees getting paid as much as a security guard in Toronto. They also have incredible benefits and paid vacations; one restaurant they did even have a paid vacation to Mexico after working there for one year. Think about that and good luck.
I’d say pack and leave ASAP before Bush makes it more difficult.
Canada is a wonderful Country. People are low keyed, low profile
friendly, non judgemental,warm.
It is very difficult to get into Canada, and the Canadians are
very strict as to their borders. Hope it doesn't change.
A doctor is hard to find, there is a shortage for all, but in order
to get the necessary services here in Canada, such as health care
education, employment etc. documentation is a must.
I have family in canada. the border is less secure then the mexican border. only problem is its impossible to find a doctor because you dont have to have health insurence and they dont get paid! or something like that. my 2nd cousin had to recover an operation in a hall way. they live in montreal Qubec. its a wonderful beautiful place. Now you dont need to speak french because everyone knows how to speak english and every thing is in both french and english. GET OUT BEFORE BUSH MAKES IT HARD! also make sure you get a visa and a passport and your birth cirtificut.
