We already subsidize insurance for children of illegals whose families claim to make under $40,000, this would be for children of illegals who make more than that. I am absolutely against it. We already have the best 'benefit package' for illegals, and I think we need to get rid of it.
It will take Republican votes to fund the Governor's plan, though, and any Republican who votes for it will be voted out next term. I don't think it will be funded with this provision in place.

i believe that the children of those people are american citizens, so there should be no problem in it. the only thing is that the people getting the insurance should also have to pay some taxes

It is a treason for the people of California. It is just amazing on how the politicians love to through money to illegals. The people need to try and stop this before it gets to out of hand.
no one gives me insurance for my child, i am a single hardworking mother who is a legal resident of this country. i work 72 hours a week plus to provide for my child. i feel that to support someone who breaks the law is a major act of treason.

Perhaps there are politicians in California that know the US took quite a bit of land from the Mexicans through brutal force. Most of the US Southwest was once Mexican territory.

just put it this way, i have to pay for health insurance, about 450 a month, if i don't have health insurance when i go to the emergency room i have to pay out of pocket, if i don't pay they can put a lean on my house. so when i sell my house i have to pay before i can close. but if i illegally living here, i can't own a house. so i can get away with paying hospital bills because i don't own any property, so free health care. no emergency room can turn anyone away to be seen. so free health care for illegals
California sucks, you don't even need to be a u.s. citizen to get a driver's license in that state, now free health care, what's next?

By the way, for those of you that do not know history, the US did not take land from Mexico by force.
The Republics of Texas and California did before they became part of the USA. The various treaties were in place because of attacks by Mexicans against the USA and the (always the loser) Mexico lost! But the wimps voluntarily signed the treaties.
