I have visa, only on vacations, speak english well, and I'm even white not that it matters?

so, why do some people treat me bad just because I'm mexican sometimes?
I'm in L.A.

Answer:
Well for one thing you live L.A (ha,ha,ha) It doesn't matter right now that you have a visa, the fact that you are here in American and a foreigner. With the illegal issue right now which a hot button. Don't sweat it just enjoy American cause we aren't all a**holes.
are you supposed to get a free pass because you are a white mexican?
hey man i am born in this country and still get treated that way so dont feel like its just you
Some people treat all Latinos wrong, it's because of all the immigration issue. No te preocupes, eres bienvenido.
Your a liar thats why
Just trying to start spit using the race card
Have a great vacation in the greatest place on the planet the USA
Because people put all Mexicans in the same category. If a Mexican shoots someone you are bad too. Don't worry about it. The people who tease you are the ones who are not happy with themselves.
You just answered your question. Your in LA!
question is a bit flighty try correcting the grammar thanks!
There are people who treat everyone badly. It may have nothing to do with you and everything to do with them!
how can you be white and mexican? unless of course your ancestors never mixed with those incas and sh*t. HAHAHA

oh i'm sorry! i thought i covered all the indigenous groups in latin america when i said sh*t. i'll be more specific next time. don't stay long in LA now! HAHAHA
Well, if you are legally, then you should be treat it, legally. I'm very sorry for that. But there are so many illegal aliens from your country here in the USA that we are angry and very mad about the situation and that the reason we get carry away. Probably if this invasion was happening in your country you and your people would act the same way. Again my apologies for what happened to you and welcome, do have a nice vacation!!
because most americans are inherently racist
Sorry hon, but people are judgemental. It's stupid, I know. unfortuantely, that is how our world has become. we discriminate. not to mention you are in LA, which is a tough crowd as is. Be careful and just try to ignore them. You can't change them....which can be one heck-of-a-bummer.

Bienvenidos/WELCOME
please enjoy your stay and accept my apologies for those of us who are ignorant as to cultures and history.

By the way, those that don't like my response, I can also say it in
Hebrew. Born in the USA
The fact that you are white should just tell you and other
people that the anti-illegal immigration problem is not a "race" issue. I am sorry you feel mistreated simply because you are from Mexico, but as some people here have told you, many people in the US right now are very angry about the huge number of illegal immigrants currently from Mexico as, while illegal immigrants do come from many other countries, the by far largest proportion of them are from Mexico. Also, this issue has become very touchy due to the the many marches and protests that have occurred in the US by "immigrants" in the past year in which it showed in the news that the majority were illegal immigrants from Mexico and they galled the American people by disrespecting our flag and waving their own flag around and shouting such things as "Viva Mexico!" all while demanding rights that Americans don't feel they should have while being in our country illegally.

If you don't feel comfortable being a tourist in the US right now, why don't you go to other places where you will feel more welcome? I personally am an American/Canadian living in Canada and I think you would be welcomed as a tourist in Canada. Just this past summer, I met a person on this forum who is Mexican and he was interested in coming to Canada to seek employment with the aim of eventually immigrating to Canada with his wife and daughter, legally. My family met him when he came here and spent a couple days with him and assisted him with locating hotel accommodation and how to job search here and we had an extremely enjoyable time with him. I asked him why he was interested in Canada, rather than the USA, and he said he had always been interested in Canada as he had researched the country and felt it would be a nice place to raise his family. He felt that Canada is the most beautiful country in the world. He was a very nice person and we enjoyed very much meeting him and he is still hopeful to eventually immigrate here and so we have likely made a friend for life as we continue to be in touch on e-mail.
Stereotypes. And because there are no white mexicans. Sorry. This is America.
First of all, who cares if you're white or brown, azteca, Spanish, veracruzano o de marte. You should be proud of whatever you are. God made you just how He wanted you to be.
Now, why do people treat you bad? Well...it has a lot to do with the fact that you're in California, which is a hotbed of anti-immigrant sentiment. Next time, try a more immigrant-friendly city, like Austin, TX, Minneapolis, MN, etc.; you know, somewhere where people are more open-minded. If all else fails, try Canada. Suerte, hermano!
they probably treat you bad because you are in LA! and people in LA are rude! (no...jk.) people in LA represent one part of the US, and it may seem rude to you, as a visitor, when it really isn't rude to us, as americans. our cultures are different, and you may speak english, etc... but you are still from another culture. you may see "rudeness" when we are just being ourselves in our country. keep an open mind and try to understand. even if it doesn't change people, you'll be a lot more positive...it's all a learning experience.
