I know that if an international student has a felony on his record, he is deportable,....?
Answer:
An alien who commits a felony is immediately deportable and is usually transported directly to an immigration detention facility directely from prison at the end of his sentence. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. INA 237. There is no consideration to the inconvenience in the convicted felon's education. I'm to the left on immigration issues, but I have to admit I agree with Congress on this one. Avoiding the problem is pretty easy - just don't commit a felony.
Send the criminal back. He shouldn't be here with a felony.
You can run, but you can't hide. Or maybe you can hide if you drop out of school.
Since he is here as a guest of this country and still decided it was a great idea to commit a felony, why should his education be given any consideration? If you can't follow the rules of this country, you shouldn't reap any of the benefits. As far as I'm concerned,he gave up the right to his education when he committed the felony.
