Why do some illegal mexicans spell better than Americans??

I'm about a fourth Mexican (my mom is half mexican) and I would have to say that knowing Spanish has taught me to spell better. It's easy for me to sound an english word out in spanish and spell it.
a lot of people dont take the time to go back and correct their spelling. i dont think it means they can't spell. and where do you get that illegal mexicans can spell better than americans?
They had to learn quick so they could sign their welfare checks.
because their president doesn't go around saying 'rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?'

To answer your question, they may be VERY serious about getting and keeping a decent job here.
As to spelling here on MyTend, oh please. We are not writing a term paper here. If I can get the gist of what someone is writing, I honestly dont care.
In case you didnt know,Americans have fought for the right to spell anyway they want to, We work and pay our taxes,And we idiots who cant spell will kick your *** all the way back to Mexico.
Could be that they are smarter than some Americans but THEY ARE STILL ILLEGALS AND STILL CRIMINALS. Ones spelling ability doesn't make them good or bad but their ability to be a contributing member of society does.
Alot of US schools are poor and don't educate our kids well, in other countries, your schools are a higher priority and you lean proper English, We speak alot of slang and depending on where you are in the country even the slang is different.
You can have a Coke, POP, soda, Sodie, Sody Pop, or whatever, depending on where you are.
Spelling, and to a greater extent education in general, has little to do with a person's legal status.
Maybe because they don't use spell check .please don't go there you and I both know that half the posts on here are very poorly written.I really don't believe that there are very many real illegal aliens on here .....so your point is mute.
Some of us just want to get it typed and entered quick as possible and don't worry about typos. Some people are just bad spellers, but might be better at math or science. Don't sweat the small stuff. As long as I know what someone is trying to say it doesn't bother me too much. There are a LOT of mispelled words by the pro-illegal group and the aliens themselves. ("Mexicans" is supposed to be capitalized...not trying to be offensive or anything)

That's no different than me helping my hispanic friends spell in Spanish when I was younger. They could speak it but not write it and I had taken Spanish classes.

a) I'm pretty sure you can't tell someone you're not being offensive. That's their perception, not your instruction.
b) American English is so garbled anyway, how can you tell? COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR, darn you!! Favourite, trousers, rubbish, bin, and car boot to the lot of you.

The word "mexicans" in your question should begin with a capital "M", not a small one.

actually, you probably noticed that some of us couldn't get our spelling "correct" not correctly. And if I were Mexican, I would put forth an effort. I always use spell check, but there are some times people have a typo, and do not realize it. I also know that I write in Spanish better than my Hispanic husband does. He grew up with Spanish, I learned in school and constantly correct him. So why do Americans spell better in Spanish than Hispanics do? To say you're not being offensive usually means that it IS your intention. Because if not, then why ask the question ? Why not say "why doesn't anyone use spell check?" You purposely brought up this point to rouse some angry comments. Good job.

If a person spells bad and has correct grammar then there is no problem. Sometimes typing isnt so easy for most people.
Because our school funds are disproportionately spent on ESL students and not on those of us whose parents paid the taxes to fund the schools?
