If I married my illegal boyfriend in Mexico, could we get him U.S. papers more quickly?
Answer:
If you are a US citizen and he has never been arrested, deported or the Immigration Department has no record on him, you have two options, but for both he will have to be in Mexico.
You can file an I-129f for K-1 fiance visa, wait for a few (6-9 months or so) where he will get a visa to the US and you get married and then file an I-130, he stays until his status is changed from non-immigrant to Immigrant (green card).
The next is that you marry in Mexico, then file an I-130, wait 6-9 months, where he will come to the US and get green card right away.
just what we need....
Sure. Try it. See what happens.
Nope. You can no longer marry an illegal to make them a legal citizen anymore.
Yes, just jump the fence and you will get full benefits including amnesty. Courtesy of our federal Govt. that refuses to listen to its citizens.
Get an immigration attorney involved to give you an idea of what has to be done. Be careful though.
I think that you should try and get the papers if you really care for him but about going back to your country... can't relatives visit here?
good luck sweetie!

get the paperwork started BEFORE he comes to the US to be LEGAL. Just because you are married doesn't give him automatic citizenship. If he is an illegal alien and you marry him, you will be married to an illegal alien and have a bunch of trouble!
If you are a citizen then he's hit the jackpot. You both go to Mexico and get married. You come back and petition him. It will be about 6 months for his visa to be issued.
If you're a Green Card holder he'll have to wait 5 to 7 years for the petition to be approved.
Good luck.
I guess I will be paying for your divorce and your baby in two years...
