Non-citizen marriage??

My finacee and I are getting ready to get married, he is from trindad and i am a us citizen. what is the processes we have to go thru to make him a citizen? any help on this would be helpful. he has a social security number and he can work here, but right now he can not leave the country. if he does then he can not come back in to the U.S. please guide me in the right direction....

Answer:
get an immigration lawyer working on the green card process ight away. a friend is going through it but her hubby can't work yet. they are still going through that part too. they are hoping in another couple months and then will wait until the 15 additional months are up. once they've beenmarried 2 years the fee is like $1500.
Marriage to a citizen doesn't automatically make him a citizen. Same thing goes for kids that are citizens - their citizenship doesn't change the citizenship of a non-citizen parent.
Just have him knock you up.
Damn.........That was fast!!!!!!
He has his green card and his SSN.....all he has to do is just put in his time. I would check with the USCIS and see if he still has to wait the normal 5 years or if he can qualify for the three year wait once you get married.
There are inconsistencies inherent in your question. If he has a green card, there should be no problem in him visiting his home country briefly. Talk to an attorney.
