The first advantage that I can see is that you are not taking the chance of going to jail for breaking immigration laws.
If done legally such is not a problem.
No need to lie and hide. Have the ability to hold your head up and know that you have followed all the rules and that you have a legal right to be here.
A certain amount of personal pride comes from approaching life in the right way vs. the easy way that is illegal and wrong.
Stay out we're full.
You can apply for a job and be paid a decent wage, you don't have live in fear of being deported, you can respect yourself for doing it the right way and you will gain the respect of others.
*edit* Ohkama's answer is misleading. You cannot get a high paying job in the US unless you consider criminal activity a job.
You don't have to worry about getting caught as an illegal alien.
1.having the peace of mind that you won't be deported.
2. having the due respect acceptance of your fellow americans.
3. Not going to jail.
4. Not having to worry about being separated from your kids or loved ones.
5. Not cheating americans out of there tax money by having to pay for your illeagal butt.
6.Having pride in yourself that you did something the right way.
7. Knowing that you are being fair to the patient people who are waiting to live here legally.
9. Being a true american you can get paid a higher wage and don't have to live in a one bedroom apartment with forty other people.

None at all sadly,when the insane run the asylum,when there is no laws soon order is gone,and you have mob rule,for now it is in the houses when it is in the streets it may be to late,when they will not hear our voices ,the people will be heard so we may need to say it real loud and clear,and take it to the streets,sometime words just won't do,this they will understand.That time is very near now.
only advantage is getting to travel internationally and get back into the US legally, thats it.
anyone illegal or not can get jobs, some in even high paying jobs.

Legal immigrants to the U.S.A. are welcomed, not shunned and reviled by most American citizens. The advantage is that you can look a person in the eye and hold your head up in public.
You are not a CRIMINAL. You are honest in your dealings with people. You don't have to worry about deportation and prison.
