What is the immigration process to get passport after receiving greencard?

i've received my greencard 4 yrs ago & want to know when Ican apply for us passport

Answer:
In one more year you can apply for citizenship and then passport
A green card doesn't entitle you to a US Passport. For that, you need to become a natualized US Citizen. If you need to travel outside of the US, you travel with the passport of your home country. If your passport is expired, speak with your embassy or consulate for information about renewing it.
you can apply for citizen chip in exactly 9 month, you become citizen about 9 month after, you take your certificate to the post office and apply for your passport
you can aply for US citizenship as early as within the 90 days before your 5 year as a resident, if you otherwise qualify
then you can get a naturalization certificate and take that to get the US passport
You dont get american pasport . all you get is US green card(pastic card), which is good to enterinto usa an work and live in usa.
American passport is for US citizens only.
