G'day all, im confused with all this visa stuff! My gf has work in the states for 2yrs under a J1 Trainee visa working at a dressage stud, and for obvious reasons i'd like to go over to! So what visa do i need to apply for? I am a qualified mechanic by trade, and any advice and help would be greatly appreciated!

I would have said that you were unlikely to get a visa under H1B for a mechanic job, however, a guy was just arrested for filing fraudulently for visas for people who never took the jobs, and some of those jobs were things like 'pizza chef', so you never know....
