First they hold you in detention center while you try to plead your case to the courts but if you been breaking the law they only transfer you after months in holding cell they send you to houston and when they can fill a plane they send you back
If you are here legally you have to prove you can earn enough money to fully support yourself for 3 years and you also need to have someone here who has a good job to sponsor you they be held accountable for what you do while you hear and if you good enough after 3 years they let you stay

To be honest, since the patriot act passed allowing the government to ignore habeus corpus for legal residents, I am not sure.
Mind you, I think the Patriot Act is unconstitutional for just that reason.
