Do mexicans in the US consider cinco de mayo as a US national holiday?

Because they take that day off from work, block-off streets in the se habla espanol side of town so they can do their mexican square dance in the middle of them, and drive around in their pimped out cars blasting may-hee-can-o music while waving the may-he-can-o flags about.

I don't mind them taking a day off from work or even blocking off their neighborhood streets for that occasion, but to go around waving their may-he-can-o flags in everyone's face in this country? Now that's brazen, considering they are the pariahs of society. HAHAHA

Answer:
Its just another excuse to get drunk, I dont see many celebrations in Mexico on 4th of July.
No we dont consider it a holiday here, and the reason we go "Waving our flags in everyones faces" is because we are celebrating our past, and were showing that were proud to be Mexicans.
They love to get drunk talk about Mexico's only accomplishment that happened over 100 years ago
What the hell is 'mat hee can o'??

FYI, 'flag' is a female noun in Spanish, so you should go 'May hee can A'.

From your rhetoric (?), I gather you're a Doctor in Science or a Ph D?
I don't believe they do since the banks are open, etc. They have a right to celebrate anyway they see fit just like the Greek festival up the street from my house every year with flags outside the Church. Anyone that would single out one culture is racist in my opinion.
I get irritated when they tell me happy cinco de mayo. I have nothing to do with that holiday. Just another way of them IMPOSING their culture on us.
I see people who are gay waving those multi colored flags. I see people from Iraq who are here in the US waving their flags. But that's not a problem huh? It's always about Mexicans and their flags.Do you think someone who pulls up in a van with their kids next to a Mexican and hears their music is offended? They probably can't understand it anyway. Or do you think they are offended when they pull up next to a car with rap music blasting with all the cuss words? Do you think they want their kids to hear all that cussing?
because they are her for our jobs, women, money and whatever else they can get for free and we are stupid enough to put up with it
Let 'em dance, the majority of them don't even know what their celebrating.
It is not a U.S holiday and if they or anyone else wants to celebrate who cares. Do you not see that many more non Mexican Americans are starting to celebrate this occasion (not holiday for us). You do not seem very willing to accept your new neighbors.
i'm mexican and personally nobody in my family celebrates it. though most of the time my white bf invites me to celebrate it over at his house. he seems to think i need to celebrate it because otherwise i'm dissing my roots. Personally i enjoy celebrating St.patricks day more. those irish flags are pretty and its the one day you can pinch strangers and not get a restraining order put against you. and of course the DRINKING! yay!
No. It's a Mexican holiday. It's like going there to celebrate the 4th of July.
America is a melting pot of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Get used to it.
Learn your facts before opening that nasty pie hole of yours!!
Was your daddy a Mexican who abandonded you and your mom when you were eight?!

Jeez, girl, you've got some issues!
