Isn't it arrogant to not let the Mexicans immigrate to our country?
Why do they have to live in poverty their whole lives just because they are not born in the United States of America?-to beleive that they do is arrogant and even discrimatory ( not rascist).
Answer:
Yes it is!
Why does everyone think this country was founded by legal immigrants?
It was legal to them coming here from whence they came, however, the natives didn't see it that way.
WE STOLE IT FIRST.
Isn't that what everyone is really saying?
yeah, if you really think about it, we're all descendants from immigrants.. besides, the mexicans originally did roam the southern areas of the US.. we stole it from them..
We do let them immigrate but if they don't have the minimal respect of themselves to just get in legally, we wouldn't have problems. Sure, it may be hard but it's more worth it. Why do they have to sneak in and cause trouble for the rest of us?
Maybe we should have easier laws on them but if it were up to me, I'd not let illegal immigrants in. And also, they may be immigrating here illegally because they're doing something bad. We never know. That's why if they can't get here legally, they shouldn't try illegally.
It is arrogant of them to think that if this country doesn't enforce its laws they will still have a country. A nation needs laws to survive, we can't repeal them to benefit certain people.
Now, what we can do to help them is shut down the border. How does that help them you ask? The drug cartels will be stopped in their tracks, and lose money to finance their violence. One less problem in Mexico. Also, the people need to rise up and demand better rights from their government.
They don't HAVE to live that way. They can rise up just like we did and fix themselves.
I have no problems with immigrants from Mexico.
My problem is with Mexicans who come ILLEGALLY!
I have a problem with ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!
this world we live in is sometimes so unfair :(.. everyone deserves a chance..they should get it...i hope God gives them that chance
That is such a ridiculous statment. The immigrants who "founded this country" came here legally in a controlled way. Where do you think all of the money comes from to pay for all of the free medical and other services that the countless uncontrolled number of illegals get. It is going to ruin this country and then it will be all sh*t just like Mexico.
They, can, but they are rules to follow as always being. They just keep trespassing and this is not a demonstration of respect from their side too... They just want money, they don't really care about improving the US society. Also, they don't care to integrate the American society to a large extant...
Americans are in their own rights to control the flow of immigrants, and if the population, find that the flow is too high as they can't absorb them socially, then lets respect this!! As I know, they are not rich in Mexico, but they can live a decent life too...
no it's not arrogance, this country was founded by LEGAL immigrants! how many Americans live in poverty and want a way out of it? how many of those are generations of families that live in poverty? our government should be helping these people instead of helping these trespassing criminals!!! pi$$ on illegals and how they have to live, that is not our problem, American citizens are!!!
Our open immigration policy wasn't always as inclusive as it is now - you need to research your history a bit. Let me just say that unchecked immigration without regulations only really started in 1965 - only a little over 40 years ago.
Also, do remember that nations need time to assimilate the new population, and that there is a difference between legal and illegal aliens.
We're not stopping anybody from immigrating - we just want it done the right way, and we'd prefer it to not be in mass droves - don't make the country that gave you asylum poor itself.
Wrong.
If a ship sank and only one lifeboat was launched, it would not be able to accomodate all the passengers in the water.
If immigration is not regulated whatsoever, this country will become bankrupt, less free and will lean more socialist. Once that happens Mexico will be equally appealing to the Americans.
As long as there is a generous welfare infrastructure here totally open borders is a very bad idea.
What you dont seem to realize is that wealth is finite and when its gone so is the attraction.
'is it arrogant to be against an invasion/"
ummmmmm, no
there wasnt a welfare state when my ancestors came here 150 years ago - just newly purchased land 'louisiana purchase' and sink or swim
one thing that is uniquly American, is the idea that we have to defend our entire history, every day, to the entire world
no country has ever done that before
with good reason
try doing that - next time you see a foreigner, review their natrion's history, and demand an expanation for everyting their nation ever did, or tell them they owe you as an alternative
see how far that gets you
Yes it is but is the arrogant of Mexicans racist
or Mexicans criminals where the problem begin
you people
can't understand we don't have nothing against who
come here and work hard but when a Mexican
spit on us or worse well his out...
you must understand this bad Mexicans attitude
is the one to ruin your life
in the same way many white racist ruin our life
we should stay together against this kind of people
and stop to believe all Americans or Mexicans are bad
we must fight the racism in both side make this people
feel like miserabile dogs because is what they are just angry dogs
and for do that we must share the best of our culture
not the worse
motto
LOVE AGAINST ANGER
and I promise you we will win
Do any of you understand EXACTLY what is going on with those ILLEGAL MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS?? Ok so they are poor, they aren't working, they SNEAK into our country without any visable means of support and guess who ends up supporting them? YOU AND ME. or they get jobs and because they aren't legal here, they don't pay taxes so it still costs the rest of US to have them here... NO ONE is opposed to immigrants coming into this country----it's just we are opposed to those who come in without documentation and without a visible means of self support when they GET here.. There ARE legal ways for these people to enter this country and if they actually TRIED the legal ways, they would be WELCOME in just like people from other countries. GRANTED this country was FOUNDED on the immigration principle, BUT, those immigrants REGISTERED when they came into the country, became citizens of the US (most of them) and worked hard, paid taxes and remained LAW-abiding for the most part.. the same cannot be said for ILLEGAL mexican immigrants.
they need to let all people come over but there is a quota on how many immigrants can come over from a country. most Americans fail to realize that if people waited the could be in their native country for months and years just to get work papers.
Is Mexico the poorest country on earth? No,I didn't think so.
There comes a time when you have to protect your own. We have enough people right here right now that were born here that need help.
yes this country was founded on immagrants. but they were legal(most of them). if the mexicans came here legally and didnt suck off of our social programs that we pay for through tax dollars then i would be fine with them coming here.but they dont so untill they come here like my relitives did trough something like ellis island i will stay true to my belief that we should round them up and ship them out
Goodness sake, son, either you are utterly ignoring the issue, or you're genuinely ignorant of it!
It isn't about Mexicans. It's about ILLEGAL immigrants. We have thousands of legal immigrants that become citizens.
These people are my brothers, my fellow citizens.
Many of them hate illegal immigration as well.
Only a portion of the illegal immigrants are from Mexico. We have illegal immigrants who have kept out of public view from Russia (white illegal immigrants), Asia, Africa, etc.
It would be racist to keep Mexicans out of our country unless their nation and peoples wanted our destruction, then it would be wise to keep them out.
You really need to do more research on this.
It isn't a matter of Mexicans, it is a matter of volume and poverty, scarce education facilities and trained teachers, overcrowded schools, closing hospitals and our inability to pay for the huge number of poor who want to come get benefits and still take care of our own.
Isn't it arrogant of Mexico to demand free immigration and not provide basic health care, food and subsidized universal education for its own people?
Their children are NOT more important than our own, and our children's schools and health care are failing under the burden of illegal immigration. We have good reasons for our limits.

And we give out more immigrant visas than any other country in the world, more to poor people than any other country in the world, and more to Mexicans than to any other country in the world, so your facts are simply wrong. There are just many more who want to take advantage of what we pay for than we want to pay for.
Is it wrong to think we are better than any other immigrant, yes it is, because the vast majority of us are the descendants of immigrants.
Are you proposing that we accept immigrants from any country? If we say it's OK for the Mexicans, don't we have to say that to everyone from every country? Afterall, we can't discriminate...
I think we have a right to screen people that are trying to enter our country and say "yes" or "no" on an individual basis, regardless of country of origin. To do so is making a discriminate decision, not necessarily being discriminatory. I don't want murderers coming in, drug dealers, criminals, and people carrying contagious diseases. It's in our best interests to screen people coming in.
I have never met anyone who is against LEGAL immigration, no matter where they are from, the reason people are against the 'Mexicans' is because a lot of them are here illegally, they broke our law to get here. Once they break our law, they have to stay in the shadows or face deportation, which means they will break more laws while they are here.
There are several facts that are left out of the immigration debate.
1. Most illegal immigrants entered our country legally and they never left when their VISA expired. We must close this loophole in a comprehensive immigration policy, a promise we were given after 9-11 and was never accomplished.
2. There is NO job that American's "won't do". When politicians say this it makes us look like a bunch of arrogant jerks, and I hate it. The fact is there is NO job where illegal immigrants perform a majority of the labor.
3. Illegal immigrants drive down wages in all fields that they enter, they put construction workers out of a job, they put farm laborers out of a job, and they only make a few industrialists richer.
4. Illegal immigrants are not screened meaning they can bring diseases like tuburculosis with them, we have worked very hard to eliminate this disease in the United States, and have seen a slight resurgence because of illegal immigration.
5. The Mexican government encourages Illegal immigration by publishing maps of the southwestern desert, and telling illegal immigrants what they will need for their trip. US dollars imported to Mexico has become the second highest grossing sector of their economy. The Mexican government is very corrupt. The fact is Mexico is in the top 10 richest nations on earth, the rich and poor gap in Mexico is achieved by the corruption of the government, and the government knows that by exporting many of its activist citizens it can continue the status quo. If these people were forced to stay in Mexico they would put pressure on the Mexican government for reform.
I agree with you that everyone should have prosperity, but Illegal immigration is not the way to achieve this goal, it will only hurt our country and create an underclass that is almost an indentured servitude of Mexican labor, which I think is really wrong.
The United States has had controlled immigration for a long time, ever since Ellis Island in the east and Angel Island in the west, we have controlled immigration, we have to do what is best for America, not for the rest of the world. Maybe that is arrogant, but if we want to continue our way of living it is what has to be done, no country on Earth has an open border where anyone is free to come and go, I don't see why we should be any different.
There was a time when immigration laws were very lax, and the US was pretty much open. There were many criminals and deviants that came to America because they were not welcome in there home country. After the criminals were allowed into the US and they continued there activities here the government decided it was necessary to limit and qualify the immigrants before being allowed into this country. The reason behind the immigration laws it to prevent overloading the country with non-productive and potentially dangerous people that would put the US resources at risk. Think about how this country would be if there were no restrictions on our boarders. Over crowded city's, millions upon millions of people using resources such as health care, food and such this country would be bankrupt in no time. We already have loads of unproductive people taking our resources and there has to be a limit to what can be done. Let them apply for residency here, go through the proper channels and then there will be no question. By limiting and regulating the immigrants we are protecting this country against financial and social breakdown.
By the way, try to go to Mexico, and you will be surprised on how strict there immigration laws are. You will have to speak there language, must have financial baking and be able to support yourself before being considered. We could learn a lot from there example
The United States welcomes thousands of people from arount the world to become citizens . There must be a process in place to accept people from all countries, they must follow the guidelines to obtain citizenship the legal way not by comming into this country bypassing the rules and stepping ahead of others that have gone thru the prosess and abiding by the rules.Mexicans are wonderful people with a great heritage and should be welcomed to our country thru our legal process. www.alleghanymoonvarietystore.
I suppose it is if it's done from a racist standpoint.
When it's done legally and fairly, it doesn't bother me at all. I think anyone who isn't a criminal should have the opportunity to try to immigrate to the US no matter what country they are from. I do think we need limits though on how many people we let in each year. Maybe we already have a law like that but I'm not an expert on immigration so I don't know. I like those green card lotteries. I don't think being poor should be the only requirement for admittance into the US though.
Well the immigrants who made this country came over here LEGALLY!! There is a HUGE difference ~ our ancestors had to go through tests and pay lots of money to get over here. All the while these ILLEGALS think they can just sneak over the border and do whatever the hell they want ~ its NOT right and you are very ignorant with your question.
