If your Visa has expired or been canceled, check with the US immigration dept near you to be 100% sure before you make any plans to leave and you would like to come back to the US.

You may simply need to reapply in your home country and it may be as easy as that. The waiver most likely lasts only so long, after which it is no longer valid as well.

seek advice from your nearest consulate/embassy as well. They might be able to give you useful information that the US immigration may not 'remember' to provide.
