Can a foreigner buy a land in USA as an investment and build a house?

someone told me a foreigner should not invest in a land in USA can you tell me more?can you tell me why?

Answer:
The only reason not to invest in land in the US is because there is some speculation the housing market is going to take a small tumble. Otherwise, it is a very good investment generally.

Yes, it is legal for foreigners to buy and build here in America. It's all about free-enterprise - a system that has brought prosperity wherever it has been used.
certainly you can..many countries own land and other types of properties in the USA good luck!
Yes they can and I dont know who told you that you shouldn't because many foreigners have, but it may be because they can kick any foreigners out anytime they choose to ? The government I mean.
Maybe they have plans to take the USA out or something,,you will have to ask that person why they told you that.
Oh heavens yes, of course they can. Foreigners invest a ton into the American economy buying and selling property. What's the big deal if they do. It's not like they can take it away from us. They are taking the same risks as any other investor. We have plenty to go around.
