Is the world getting too small? Are we running out of options as immigration becomes more and more difficult?
Answer:
Yes, as the world fills up and personal mobility increases, nations close their borders. Always been the same, almost happened in the 19th century, and along came America, all the disaffected went there. Now the world really is full.
yes
Overpopulation is becoming a serious problem yes. But it can be solved, just have less children. If you only have one child as parents and every parent did this the population would cut in half after all the parents die. If you have two children then the population would stay the same.
No the world is big enough..its just we're getting larger and more technology is being created..either that or the chinese are growing larger in pop. lol
Simple. stop immigration, why cannot everyone live in their respective countries, Visits would be OK and business, but each should live in their own country with their own culture
yes, you are right. but there are countries which need more
immigrants. you can try ireland, new zealand, australia,
norway, alaska
Don't allow stem cell research, cloning, and organ transplants and allow the sick to die and growth will slow down. All of nature with the exception of man is about survival of the fittest, maybe we should be more in tune with nature. By allowing unchecked immigration the population may be decreased due to terrorism and the spread of epidemics. Mother nature has a way of fixing herself and when ready she will shake us off like water from a wet dog.
well it depends on you see it. If you need your own house with no neighbors, there aren't that many places left in the world where thats possible. If you're fine with urban living, thres plenty of space to go around, we just need to remodel and implement better planning.
Become active to make changes in your own country. Fight oppression and tyranny. Run for office. Don't become a problem for someone else.
the world is big enougth, and we could all live together fine. Its just we need to make the right changes to ge there
The population of many countries is shrinking and that's making them rich.
In contrast, over half the current population of Mexico was born after about 1986 and to parents often as young as 12 (when mother gave
birth); that's keeping them poor. A 12-year old can't compete with a PhD at parenting and preparing a child for higher education.
As culture's embrace ever-higher education, their populations begin to decline and wealth increases. Why? Because the human resource and human consumption are the two greatest forces; one for us the other against us.
China's "one-child-policy" is certainly the antithesis of liberty, persuit of happiness, etc, but because of a declining population there have been more teachers per child, more quality time with parents, less of their earnings spent on raising children, better and higher education, etc.
And now, look at China's economy!
Mexico's GDP is over a trillion US Dollars. Imagine if Mexico's population had shrunk after 1986, if more money had been spent on education, preparing children for college & tech jobs, etc. There'd be a southward migration!
Antartica is still unpopulated
the bush administration will solved the problem soon by massacring Innocent villagers in the name of war on terror
When the powers that be decide that the world population is too high, they will just unleash a short lived but very deadly virus on the planet.
Problem solved.
