I despise when these academics use their class to influence and brainwash college students...I cannot stand that people like this are allow to teach their twisted agendas and get away with it.I am a Hispanic.

Nope. At least you passed (did you?) Failed my 5th grade Spanish class...never was good at it. Rather speak German or Dutch. I heard now kids have to get 3 credits of Spanish now. Terrible society were living in.

The best about mexican they speak espanyol but they aren't spanish.
Really? The professor said the "white man is The Devil?" You should have said something if you thought the ways he went about teaching were not fair. I know you didn't have to/or you don't have to, but it would have been a good idea so you wouldn't have had to feel uncomfortable.
I'm in college too and I have thought about enrolling in one of these courses just for fun but I don't know if I would go through the same experiences you did. I am a Hispanic American (of Mexican descent) but my Spanish is not good at all and I probably would say something about the language thing.
But I still find it hard to believe that that actually happened.
I don't know how you would have known that the students had "5th grade, English writing skills." But for the speaking, anyone can be smart but not know English very well.

We covered it in school in the 60's & 70s. This sort of thing with professors was common in my school days. I was born in colonial times just prior to decolonization where most countries on the map were pink and blue. As a kid I was taught you do not take people three generations from the bush, teach them to flush toilets and expect them to run govrnments the next. When I got to university however, things changed and Che Guevera to Castro and Lamumba wrere the rage. Old heroes of the Great Victorian age then became war criminals of course.
A friend of mine took history of Communist China and for most of the year he told the prof what the prof wwanted to hear and got straight A's. In the final he told the prof what he really thought and got a terrible mark but the final wasn't worth half the course so he passed with a C+.
Anyway I sympathize with you! See how history repeats itself?

Goes to show these peoples mentalities.
