Well said, that's just a slogan used by "pro-illegal" pin heads to twist the facts. My very first job I got a dollar an hour I was 16.(summer job) I cleaned rooms. Pride doesn't put grub on the table.
Don't buy that crap from those people. We hav eplenty of people collecting welfare, and other freebies that can do those jobs. Call or email your congressman and let them know you are not buying their proposed legislation. It is your duty as an American Citizen to stop this madness !

Americans won't strap on bombs because we are smart enough to build remote controls.
Even a vehicle can be made to be remote controlled, so why don't they just stand on a nearby rooftop & run it from there? Because they are stupid.
I'm not aware of any schools offering a bachelor's degree in fern picking.
There are many jobs Americans will not do. Why work when they can get a welfare check from Uncle Sam every month?

There absolutely NO excuse to grow up in the US and not be educated to the point where you don't need to pick fruit or wash dishes.
It would take far too long to address all of the stupidity encapsulated into this one question, but I have to give you credit for packing in so much of it in such a short paragraph. You deserve at least 5 pts for that alone.

When I was a teen and in college I worked on a farm, I did work with illegals all of whom were good people but illegal none the less. The fact is there are two problems A) too many kids now a days do not work because their parents have the money for them or their lives are too busy with other extra curricular activities. B) Illegals are undercutting wages so that if kids choose to work it is not cost effective for them to do so. Really the jobs that Americans won't do in my book are the upper echelon jobs like engineering and medicine. Currently we are heavily recruiting these highly skilled people from other countries to fill the void. What we need in this country is more skilled labor and less unskilled labor we have enough of our own to fill that. I live near the Canadian border and much of the terrorists were using our US Canada border much more than our southern border.

Couldn't agree with you more! I know that I have washed my share of dishes to make a buck...in fact it was my first job that I had when I was 13.
what kid wants to work at the quik-e mart when she could be with her friends? what kid wants to break their back hauling boxes at a Costco? what kid wants to dishwash?? i know i wouldnt. american kids dont want to clean up the gorilla * in the zoo or pick up trash in the bathroom...
employers are willing to take advantage of the wave of illegal immigrants.. they can pay them under minimum wage, and they are willing to do work. morals and ethics do not mean anything. you can almost see the $ signs popping up in employers eyes when an immigrant comes for work. not many employers are going to send back illegal immigrants.

jobs like working at cleaner places like a Target or waitressing are much more attractive than being the trashman.
How are you going to "close the southern border"??? It is 1,950 miles long. If there was a way somehow to do it, how would you then "close" the 11,323 miles of coastline - most unguarded and secluded. If there was a way to somehow do THAT, how would you "close" the border with Canada - all 5,522 miles long and the longest border in the world.
If you add Alaska into the equation, now your are looking at over 23,000 miles of coastline - not included Hawaii which has 750 miles of coastline and is made up of freaking islands.how are you going to secure and island?
And - our American kids aren't remotely interested in washing dishes.they would just as soon flip burgers or - better yet - party all night, sleep all day, watch TV and play video games.
I'm hearing a lot of BS so let's just clear it up real quick.
Not every American can afford a college education so they take those lower paying jobs. Not every American has parents with money or money connections.
Not every American just hands their kids money.
I'm a white single mother raised by a white single mother. I never got anything that I didn't earn by working hard for nor will my child.
The one chance I got at a college education, I earned a scholarship for but I had to give it up to care for a terminally ill relative and after that,I took whatever work I could find to support my child.
