Me. Whatever your views about immigration generally, in the case of the UK it is about facing up to the reality that most of these people are not in fact going to be removed, and it would be better for us and for them to regualrise them now so that they can brought into the mainstream of society. Unfortunately, it takes a degree of political courage which neither Labour nor Conservatives seem likely to muster. It would also require the Home Office to get their act together in processing such an amnesty. The limited amnesty for families took two years to clear up the bulk of the cases, and many are still being dealt with.
The answer to uncontrolled immigration is stricter control of new arrivals, not futile attempts to root out people already established here.

Amnesties only encourage more illegals to come, all hoping for another one.
No way.! Why should the misdemeanours of British nationals be doggedly pursued and punishable until justice is seen to be done, yet those of illegal immigrants expire after a couple of years? If illegal immigrants are given amnesty,why shouldn't all of our non-violent offenders,be pardoned, why stop with illegal immigrants? We are not here talking of genuine asylum seekers, who indeed may be driven by acts of desperation to escape persecution and oppression, but illegal immigrants from Kenya, Russia, or Latin America, and their economic needs are supposed to challenge us to pardon the forging of government documents, and the intrinsic fraud, lies, theft and deception.? I think not...
I like Frisky's answer. Amnesty only give others the idea they can come into the country and get off free and legal no matter who they are or what crimes they've committed.

Be specific. Which illegal immigrants are you talking about? For example, are we talking about someone who has fled persecution and abuse and hasn't taken the time to fill in an application for a visa; or do you mean an economic migrant who has chosen to come into another country illegally for financial reasons...
There are almost as many different reasons for immigration (legal & illegal) as there are migrants.
Different cases have to be judged on their individual merits - and not on sweeping generalisations, cliches and prejudice.
I support it ,give them All Amnesty then round them up. and
send them all to Colonise, the unpopulated Regions of Africa.
