I don't remember being baptized ,Should I do this again.?
Answer:
you can take your vowels over again. but do not get saved in the water. that is telling god HE got it wrong the first time. by doing only the vowels you are telling god YOU got it wrong and messed up.
Wrong section...but no.
I was baptized Catholic when I was an infant and then when I was an adult and chose to accept Christ as my saviour, I was baptized again as a Christian.
You can get baptized all you like, no limit, just make sure they don't hold you under more than five or six minutes.
You can be baptized as often as you feel like you need to be. If you have been and don't remember, then you were probably too young. Deciding to be baptised is a personal choice to freely accept the Christ as the Son of God and you saviour. If that choice was made for you.... then you should be re-baptised.
I believe it is honoring God so if you don't remember than you probably weren't honoring him.
But I don't think you have to do it to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
The "reborn" idea actually started in Eleusis. They made a drink from ergot-infected grain, which is loaded with a precursor chemical to LSD. They tripped out like madmen, then called themselves the "twice-born" or "reborn" afterwards. Early christians had a similar rite, but I guess the Church didn't like the idea of worshippers eating psychedelics..
Baptism is a right that is onlhy supposed to be done once in your lifetime. it is the complete acceptance of God in your life and the symbolic washing away of your past so that you can begin your life anew in the ways of God. If you are catholic then what you would have had is a christining under the name of baptism. for some strange reason the right was altered and renamed in that sect of chrisianity so that everyone else chritens a child to wash away the original sin and then are baptized as adults to begin their lives again in the grace of God. guess catholics like putting all their eggs in one basket.
absolutely not, see a hypnotist, do some regression therapy, take long walks around a lake near sunset with a dog you rescued named 'Lucky', gaze out into the water and focus on your steps, see how it ties in with your breathing and heartbeat, calmness and peace will envelop your mind and you will realize IT'S GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH JESUS!!!
You probably cant remember being born either,do you want to do that again too?
You were probably just christened ,Yes you should because you are committing to lead a life as a christian .
sounds like you baptised very young , you can be baptised as often as you fell you need to be , but it should be done thoughtfully with an understanding of your position as a christian .
the baptism of the queen of Ethiopia's high servant by st Philip comes to mind as a good example:
you can read about it in Acts 8 : 26
with catholics, it's tradition to baptize infants and for the children to confirm the baptism as adults.
we call this confirmation.
i don't think there's any church that would disapprove of you wanting to re-affirm your belief.
good luck!
No, there is no reason to. It is only an outward sign stating that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, if in fact that is what you are referring to. If not, it doesn't make one bit of difference. Baptism for a child or whomever is a man made rite that is truly meaningless. It won't do a thing for you before God if you have not asked Jesus to save you from your sins. Forget it and go on with your life. Any religious person that tells you different is lying to you.
