How do you think Mexico's upper and middle class folk, the ones who live very comfortably and wouldn't dream

of living in America, feel about all the prejudice, bigot and racist comments being made in a generalizing fashion towards Mexicans, specially illegal immigrants

Answer:
The rich Mexicans have no concern about the American rant against their race. Anyway, those who feel offended are the patriotic ones.
Often the race predjuice within a group (like the Mexicans) is much more brutal and overt than that which crosses ethinc lines.
if they give a hoot, then maybe they should keep their countrymen from leaving their country. you know, take care of their own garbage for once.
Honestly, I don't think they care much in the long run. However, they probably think poorly of us in America for such things. Every race has some sort of generality poised against it. Mexicans get quite a bit due mostly to poverty issues and some coinsiding effects of it. For example, dark skin, clothing, laborous jobs, etc In a very racially dynamic society these things just happen. However, still, i don't think that particular class really cares that much. IF they do, its a small percentage of them. AND of that small percentage, they just happen to be some of the few who catch media outlets from America that happen to be revealing such bigotry and whatnot. So, well.. there you have it.
Why would they care? They got rid of the poverty problem by telling them to go to the USA and get a job. One of the wealthiest nations, plenty of raw materials and ocean front property and the tourist mecca for most North Americans, and Mexico does nothing to help their poor but offer to give them maps of the best places to cross the border illegally. Yet they don't reciprocate if illegal workers sneak into their country, in fact they have a fence and armed guards on their border with Guatlemala, is this fair?
Resentment and anger. Stereotyping tends to do that. Also, what I may criticize about my own country, I tend to take severe exception to when it comes from an outsider.
They wouldn't care because we are doing their bidding by letting all those people in.
Every poor Mexican that crosses the border for the stupid gringos to deal with is one less disgruntled citizen for them to deal with.
And MEXICAN IS NOT A RACE.
The real question is who cares what they think? They do not care about poor people any more that rich people in America care about our working class.Their god is money!
Unfortunately, many Mexicans of the upper classes who are usually of unmixed Caucasian heritage do not identify with their fellow citizens who are poor and are either mixed (mestizo) or predominantly Native American (Indian). They do not feel that the prejudices against the latter, illegal immigrants or not, in anyway apply to them.
if they are american mexicans then they should feel the same way about the illegals. if an american is all for illegals then they are a trader to this good country, they should be tried as a trader.
WE do care about social problems. I believe most of that prjudice is due to lack of culture (meaning most middle and low class Americans do not read history from reliable sources and obtain mosto of their information from television and biased materials). Also, I do not feel guilty for having poor people in my country, just as you might not feel guilty from having people living in trailer parks.
It feels horribe to have people insult Mexicans as if they were trash because we are not, nor the poor neither the rich.
We do have poverty in some areas, however there are plenty of opportunities which, unfortunately, are al little more time consuming than being construction workers or maids in the U.S.
Who cares how they feel, its America that is being overrun by the poor from their country.
