Will the K1 approval process be delayed if my fiancee visits me in the US?

I have read in more than one place (e.g., http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-...
that it can. If there is anyone who works for or with the USCIS can provide more insight or details about this issue it would be appreciated.

In case it matters, my fiancee is a medical doctor in brazil who holds a valid B2 visa. I cannot think of any special circumstances that we might have.

Answer:
I don't think it really delays the K-1 process at all. I think that may only be the case if there were several trips to the US while waiting approval that would have to subjected to additional security. But just one or two short visits shouldn't cause any troubles.

I traveled to visit my then fiance while my K-1 was in process and it didn't have any negative impact on my case at all. I think it can only add to the strength to your relationship evidence.
I see no reason for it to delay the process. She was here legally, then went back to Brazil without overstaying...nothing wrong with that. Best of luck.
