My opinion on this is that I realize some of these illegals are good people who's only crime (and it's a big one) is being here illegally. Some of the even pay taxes (?). But my thoughts are, if they want a BETTER life, why not do it the right way? For their own good? If they were to save the money from paying taxes and spend it on going back the Mexico and becoming a legal resident, then they wouldn't HAVE to put themselves in the position of working for $3 an hour. You see my point?
I agree with all the links you have provided. But most Americans don't want to see any of this proof that they are contributing in some way. People spend more time on pointing out the flaws of a few than looking at the group as a whole. There are alot of illegals who try to do their best to contribute to their communities, and bring some good from a bad situation. No one says anything about the American citizen who doesn't pay taxes, and who abuses the system. I believe that there are bad people in every race of people, but there are good people as well. I do not judge an individual based on where they come from, the color of their skin, or the reasons why they do the things they do.

Yep..a few do. More don't. None are supposed to be here. I'd rather loose the good than be forced to take the bad. The contributions don't come close to making up for the drain. 2 wrongs don't make a right. I feel bad for those who have done as close to everything right as they could. The bad has overshadowed their efforts. Yet any attempt to weed out the bad has been followed with marches to the streets about how good they ALL are. Sorry....they aren't all nice good people. Rapists, childmolestors, gang members etc...no way. All or nothing? I take nothing.
In all the 'paying tax' stories I saw this year they mentioned that those paying hoped it would benefit them in an amnesty.
Regarding the Social Security suspense fund, illegal immigrants use much more in service than they pay in taxes, and only half pay taxes, and many of those get credits and refunds, according to studies I'VE read. And of course this is only an excess if they are NOT allowed to get legal and get Social Security because their income level as a group would make them a group that pays in only a small portion of the benefits they receive. Education is $10,000 per child per year grades k-12 in California, and that money is taken from our own children's educations in their overcrowded schools with teachers on emergency certificates, and programs cut for our children to fund ESL for children of those illegally here.

Yes, but what can we do about it? Democrats, Republicans and all politicians don't really care about us, the only thing that I can suggest to any hispanics families, and not only hispanics, because inmigrants are from all over the planet is this: to always remember and not fall for voting for anyone aspiring for president and most of all not to fall for the lies and promises they making only to get their votes, and think about it, probabbly in all families, there's a citizen plus somebody undocumented in the same family so NOT VOTE FOR THIS PEOPLE THAT ONLY MILK OUT UNDOCUMENTED ILLEGAL POPULATION.

Thank you, Sergio. There needs to be a "comparable source" to the allegations of those that abhor illegal immigrants because of the "criminal acts", and the endless complaining about taxes. I work full time legally, and I pay taxes, and I don't go bitching about having to pay for X & Y. People need to live and let live.
I understand not all illegals is bad. Many illegal has a good heart too. But, bad illegals and good illegal do the same thing, you all brake US law. How American will believe illegal is a good people. And some of you disrespect US flag, the only flag American people proud of. I guess, something you should say is: "Yes, we made mistake".

Why do americans complain so much about illegal immigrants taking jobs?
If you guys had studied harder then you wouldn't be competing with illegal immigrants for the same jobs, so why do you complain when it's your fault that you have no job?
I don't see illegal immigrants working as judges or doctors so get a better education and stop complaining
The richest country in the world should be able to educate its people past high school. I mean a GNP of more than 4 trillion dollars and only 5 percent of the world's population and they can't get somebody past the 12th grade? Its not that hard, most schools don't even require homework anymore.
I want people to understand I do not think illegal aliens are the problem they have been painted to be. Don't blame the illegal alien if you don't have a job. There are plenty of jobs, especially if you have a skill. If your area is depressed economically, you might need to move.
I live in California where this state has dealt with illegal immigration for decades now, a thing many states are just now dealing with. It's been overblown.
Truth is, this is all the government's fault, and blaming the Mexican's and hating them isn't going to change what's happened. The government allowed this to happen.
This doesn't happen only in the USA you know. It happens everywhere. It's happened in Canada where the Asians came and bought out half the banks and buildings. They work harder than any Canadian would care to ... when immigrants went there and worked factories, illegally and for minimum wages or less...Canada is inundated with Polish people who aren't exactly the warmest lot in the world and it's all give me, give me, give me..
Also: I know there is the "BAD" side to illegal immigration. Why not just give a chance to the people that can PROVE that they deserve to be part of this country? There's people who pay taxes here, go to school (to learn english as well as get a diploma), enterpreneuers .... people who don't take "advantage" of the system (because we know there's a # of people who do that).BUT there are those people that deserve to be given at lest ONE chance, people who contribute to this country and don't take away from it .. They absolutely know that they've made a mistake in coming here illegaly . but gues what . most of them don't have a choice! It's either live in their home country and die of hunger (or work for the drug cartels) or die trying to look for a better life somewhere else.
I am one of the few lucky people who came here legally.. BUT ... my father had to come here first at the age of 18 (32 yrs ago) to work in the fields picking fruits & vegetables . working in the nursery business. He worked for 9 years to save up money so that he could bring us here legally (being of a family of 6 siblings) .. On top of that we had to wait 7 years to get our paperwork processed. At the end my father had nearly spent $13K ... that was a lot of money back in the days.With that being said my whole family agrees that the people who deserve to be her should be here (even if they were illegal), everyone else who is here to "work the system" should be thrown out.
