Can a K-1 visa be delayed because of the persons name???

I am waiting for the security checks to be done on my fiance in Morocco. I was just recenty informed that his wait could be 3-4 months because his name is Mohammed, is this true?? Or does anyone know anything about this??? Please help !!!!

Answer:
Look on any document that is going to be processed by the immigration service (bcis) all the documents must be in perfect order and everything must match. I do not think a persons name is going to cause a long wait, only if the name does not agree with supporting documents. Hopefully all your documents are in order and you have processed them according to the process and the law. If you even process these documents with the least little bit of fraud in mind you may never get these documents processed.
Perhaps it isn't your fiance's first name. Not knowing the last name, I couldn't say, but of course a name could be a problem.
I don't know much about profiling, but I know in this day and age if I was in a security position, the name Mohammad would definitely attract my attention. Face reality.
It can be delayed for a myriad of reasons.
Exactly who informed you of this? It's ridiculous. There are many things that delay the visa, the beneficiary's first name isn't one of them.
that sounds very silly to me. however, the wait period on a k1 visa is usually 5 months or so anyways...so...3 or 4 mo. sounds pretty good to me!
