If there were no immigrants then this country wouldn't be what it is today america is the melding pot thats what makes us different from other countries. There are people of all different races that add their own dash of culture to ours.
Good. All people must be given the opportunity to legally immigrate to another country. If they have the time and resources to go through the lenghty and often tedious process of immigrating to another country, then more power to them.

If this country wishes to continue to lead the world it will need ALL the bright, capable people that it can get - regardless of where they were born. Especially now that most of our public education system flat-out refuses to provide an adequate education for our children.
Good, however the first individual answering this question is wrong. You do not have the RIGHT to immigrate as you see fit. It is up to the people of that area you are to immigrate to to decide if they want you or not.
Legal immigration is good because a country that does not accept new people, new ideals, new work ethics, etc. will never improve because there is no new group raising the bar. Immigrants do that, among many other things.
Now the key is LEGAL immigrants. Illegal immigration is a bad thing. See the Estados de Unidos, um I mean the United States, right now. We are becoming Mexico north because the executive branch of government has choosen not to enforce the security of our southern border.

Legal is always better than illegal. Our entry laws were established to secure a lot of our resources, for example, proper housing for a certain amount of people. Right amounts of water, food supplies, jobs for workers, schools and medical services. When we are flooded with large amounts of people, they have to live jampacked together, overload the schools and social services, and are not properly screened for communicable diseases. Legal immigration tries to maintain a balance and help people blend in, so they are with our democratic principles and not trying to overthrow our system. Best wishes
I think its good. In a way arent we all immigrants to a certain extent? Speaking of the USA, all of us are immigrants except the native americans. And I do believe California was once Mexico, but we kind of took over that part.
Immigration is something that has to happen though. Plus we can't stop illegal immigration. We can persue the problem and try to make it happen less often an enforce the law for those that are not suppose to be here. If millions can do it legally, than why not do it legally and make things easier on everyone?

I have no problem with people who come here legally with a visa and jumped many hoops to get it. I married someone outside of the country and had to go through hell to get her into the USA. This is what offends me when people think they have a right to be in the United States, legal or not.
I think people from other countries outside of Mexico (we know all about them...enough!!) can show us different aspects of living a better life. Japaneze have better music and car engineering, The Philippines has a much better work ethic, and the middle east has a kick *** airlines (I will ride United Arab Emerites once before I die!) just for a few examples.
The USA is nothing without its immigrants, but this is our land and we have the right to pick and choose who comes in just as say France or Taiwan chooses. Naturalized or Born USA this is our land as citizens. Dont let those who took the easy way to get in here and break the law go unpunished.

Excellent. I work for the government. and our goal is the following, any illegal OUT and we are going to invite workers mainly from mexico to do the work. TEMPORARY by invitation only after a full criminal background and an assigned job (labor) of course

Legal immigration is good. It is good for the economy, good for the social aspect, and over all good for our country. It lets us grow and be more open to other cultures. But illegal immigration is bad, dont even get me started lol
