IS this true, I heard that a new immigration law passed right before Christmas 2006; first time felons (green card holders) will not get deported?
Is this true can someone please let me know?

i ahven't heard anything about it........... just more rumors to stir the kettle thats already stinkin..........OH_HELL
It is not true. I think you heard of a court case that said that green card holders who are convicted of a state determined felony (not something that would be a felony under federal law) aren't automatically subject to summary deportation as are those convicted of a federal felony.

It was a drug charge that would have been a misdemeanor in many states but in the one in question was a felony.
it is not true.they never even thout of a law
