You have got to have a Bachelors Degree in translations and common sense. You are absolutely right. Your translations is exactly what it is. If so many work, why is the welfare system, hospitals going bankrupt, they think they to good to pay out several hundred dollars a month like most of us do to keep coverage. Even my own mother, who worked all her life, retired and on SS, her medicare and Medicaid insurance is taking out of her SS benefits to the tune of one hundred and twenty nine dollars a month, and does not cover dental or vision and a lot of tests that doctors need to run on her. Yet!! the illegals gets all this and more for free. Now with new amnesty Bill, if passed, they can dip into all our social security and have not put one dime into it. Heck yes, your translation is correct and more truth than the bleeding hearts that claim the amnesty bills is okay.

this stuff is so obvious. I don't get why people feel sorry for them. Paperwork and stuff is such hard work. You know MOST of them come for the reasons that they are criminals or don't have a stable background. Plus they did not want to pay a 70 buck application fee for fingerprinting. Even the ones that came here legal at first do not want to keep up with the paperwork required. Forms for moving, changing jobs, change in family situation. Hard stuff there.
My daughter is a checker at a major grocery store chain... she got hollered at today by a migrant worker and his wife... neither of whom had ID and neither of whom spoke English (one of the guy's friends translated)... because they were trying to cash their WIC check 2 days after it had expired.
So... my daughter works hard, pays taxes... so she can get yelled at in Spanish... for doing her job... when the problem is the person who's doing the yelling... because they didn't cash their tax-funded handout in time?
Most Mexicans who immigrate to this country are incredibly poor and uneducated. They are hard working, though. I seriously doubt that they think to themselves, "Gee, I'm America's saving grace sent down to heaven because I'm willing to pick lettuce for $2.50 an hour." Imagine how much Mexico sucks if working twelve hours a day in the hot sun for $2.50 seems like the better option. Obviously, Americans are willing to do crappy jobs, but they're not willing to be paid equally crappy wages. They want union wages for unskilled to semi-skilled labor. That's stupid.
Incidentally, who are "your people"? When did your ancestors immigrate to this country? Unless your ancestors are very recent immigrants (see: post-1920s or even later), chances are they didn't have to work one-tenth as hard to be admitted into the United States. If your ancestors mostly immigrated to the US prior to the late 19th century, the immigration procedure was 'get off boat, walk onto American soil, find some place to live.' The federal government started regulating immigration when Congress passed the Chinese Exclusion Act.
Yeah, many illegal immigrants take advantage of our bloated welfare state. That sucks. Let's make sure that illegal immigrants can't leech off the system. While we're at it, let's make sure legal immigrants can't, either. And for good measure, how about we get rid of the system altogether!
