When I worked as a cashier, it used to sicken me that these hispanic women would come in in designer clothes, gold, and diamonds, and pay for their groceries with a WIC check or food stamps.
My parent's couldn't get that kind of assistance when we NEEDED it; "You're white and you make too much money."
Thank God my grandparents would pick up a few essentials for us so we didn't starve.

well first of all thats not how the welfare system works, i agree with you to some extent but not all mexicans are abusing or even using the welfare system just like not al white people are KKK sympathizers or rascists. so don't generalize, others mexicans and illegal immigrants are hardworkers who dont use that system.

What you say is true and when the states try to crack down on it, the Federal government steps in and tells them to back off. We have to start watching who is running for office starting with the primaries and vote out the enablers and others who do not support their constituents.

You are correct. This country babies these immigrants. I cant get assistance either, yet it seems like when one mexican finds a loop hole to the system, he tells every mexican he can, and holds out on the rest of us!

If you are talking about Mexican Illegals then I can tell you that they come from a society that is very different from ours. Steal cheat lie abuse the system in any and every way possible is a way of life for the majority of Mexicans. They don't like America or respect its laws at all. They are here because the can get a better life here. They can break the laws steal cheat use false documents drive without a license etc etc etc because they can!!! The mind set of a Mexican is to beat the other person. Beat the other person by force by trickery by any and all means possible. That is what they see as success beating another down and using them. That's all Mexicans know because the whole society is the same. If it weren't you wouldn't be asking any questions about illegals. Because before they stepped across that border illegally they would stop and realize that they were breaking a law and what the result of that could be. Mexicans don't care about laws or about you or any other citizen of this country. They are that way plain and simple. (Please understand I'm talking about the majority) There are some that desire a new life and want to do whats right but most don't they want a free ride with no strings attached. That's the truth.
You may see some Mexican folks doing it. But there are a lot of people doing it. The stats still have African American use the system a lot better than anyone else. You can see them in a bran new cars nice cloths but yet they get food stamps and welfare check. And they have better lives any all of us that are struggling. Because the system has not been up dated ever. You can't be working have a few kids and that is the only way you can get assitance, even for school. I'm making enough to pay my bills. But the only way I would qualify for a school loan is if I had kids. Can you let me know. If I don't even know how I'm making it now, imagine have kids. The system is broken and yet we do nothing to fix the system. We all work. But if I told you, don't work. Pop out a few kids and you can buy a home in less then a year with what the government gives you. Why would you even want to work. And you think the Mexicans are the ones to blame. Fix the system and that should solve the problem
I am in the same shape my friend. It's amazing this whole thing plus the amnesty bill all our politicians including the president want us to go along with. I voted for Bush mostly because both times he seemed to be the lesser of two evils. I still think that is true. But I am totally against this Amnesty bill. I mean they are telling us that in some cases to break our laws shouldn't be a punishable offense but should be rewarded! The kicker to me is that the illegals are protesting the amnesty bill because they think it's too harsh! And some are agreeing with them they say paying a 5000 fine is too high it will take food out of the mouths of their babies! And they are now ammendig this bill not the way we want it ammended but the way the illegals want it. So I wrote Bush and my representitives in CA. where I live with this senereo about the illegals protesting this unfair bill. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hardworking and honest (except for when I broke into your house)."
According to the protesters:
* You are Required to let me stay in your house
* You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
* You are Required to Educate my kids
* You are Required to Provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hardworking and honest, except for that breaking in part).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hardworking and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house.
And what a deal it is for me!

things on a personal level. Yet this is what you are asking us to do on a national level. And with all due respect we find what you are asking just as rediculous. We hope that you reconsider this bill and consider taking care of our borders first and then deal with those who are here ilegally and their protests that we should be even more lienent. I haven't gotten one response yet lol nor do I expect one.

They shouldn't get welfare. I'm tired of paying my taxes to support them. They come here for free rides and we reward them with free rides out of our expense. I'm not going to get a second job, I'm just going to vote for any politician who wants them all deported. They are not hardworking! If they are, then how come they don't pay taxes and healthcare and leave me to pay for them? My family is going to get dumped out on the streets soon with taxes being raised and these so called "hardworking" illegals get free taxes and free healthcare.
