Question about the K1 visa?
My receipt number is dated 15 may 2007.
It's 2 months already and i still didn't get my NOA2. When am i going to get it and when am i going to be at the embassy for the interview to get the k1 visa?

There was a big problem in issuing NOA. They got backlogged.
Just check if your filing fees payment check/money order or cashier's check has cleared or not. On the back of check, if cleared, there will be notations./stamps. One of them would read WAC-followed by 10 numbers. That is your receipt number. And if the check has cleared you don't have to worry about anything.
And also good news is that your package has not been returned. If there was something wrong, it would have been returned.
So, do not worry.

Normal processing time for k-1 visa's will depend on what country your fiancee is coming from...it normally takes between 6-8 months, but can take as long as a year. If there was a problem with processing, you probably would have received a RIF from them by now (RIF is a request for more documentation) Just be patient.many others have to wait just like you do..good luck!!
