The American Dream is for Americans. The Mexican Dream is for Mexicans (whatever it might be).
If people are accepted under our immigration laws to live here, the American Dream can be for them too.
However, the fact is there are all these commercial enterprises (not necessarily based in the USA) that make money marketing emigration services and immigration services selling the American Dream. Bank loans, for example say to come get the American Dream. That it doesn't belong to the Banks to distribute doesn't seem to faze them.

Sure seems that way. Right now it seems the only people entitled to the American Dream is anyone that's not American.

Besides is the American dream all about selling illegal drugs on the streets and to the children? Because in the news lately most of the arrests have been foreigners who are here illegally in the country and having a storefront operation. e.g retail shop, junk yard, etc...
How in the world of reality do you believe that hard working Americans have fulfilled their American dream?? Because you are under the assumption that they have?? Or have you been told this big white lie?? If one comes legally and starts and their own business and it takes off as a success - then you are living the American dream. If you come illegally and are working for such a business - then in some fashion you are stealing the American dream.
The system was put in place with guidelines, rules, and policies so that everyone (from any country) who come legally, and every American born citizen have an opportunity to live the American dream. But don't think for one minute that all are living the American dream, while their corporate employers are paying themselves, and their CEO counterparts millions of dollars a year, and retiring under a golden parachute. Others have had it handed to them through inheritance. While the hard working American gets screwed at almost every turn.
And the answer is NO - We Do Not Have To Put Up With It!!
Is because this country was build by immigrants from all over the world,no like europe,my ancestors were in europe for thousands of years,what about yours,o you forget?
The american system can absorb more people,because is a capitalist system,no like other countries where they get benefits,but not a job,Here in USA if you don,t work you don,t get anything,so immigrants are not a big problem compared with other countries,AMERICAN DREAM is still there for everybody,that,s why is a dream but if you keep pushing, you will kill it,and USA WON,T BE THE LAND OF THE FREEDOM ANYMORE
